Recent trip to Las Vegas - guess who got Covid?
Vanity

Posted on 06/25/2022 10:36:27 AM PDT by MMaschin

Myself and four of my friends recently returned from Las Vegas after a golf/guys trip. We left from Austin on Thursday the 16th and returned on Sunday the 19th.

One of the guys, the one I shared a room with was not feeling great on Sunday when we were heading back to Austin. I attributed it to a hangover, but on Monday, he sent out a text to the group that he had Covid.

After getting that news, we all took tests and only one other guy tested positive. On Thursday another started feeling bad and he retested positive. The other two, including me, still feel fine and have retested today negative.

The interesting thing is that ALL three of those who got sick and tested positive are fully vaccinated and boosted. The two of us who have not gotten sick and tested negative are unvaccinated. We are all in our mid-forties to mid-fifties. During the trip we pretty much hung out as a group together the whole time.

PersonPos/NegHistory
MeNegUnvaccinated. Covid twice. First bad flu, second mild congestion
KenNegUnvaccinated. Never had Covid
WaynePosVaccinated and boosted. Covid Twice. Past and current like mild flu.
BrechPosVaccinated and booster. Never had Covid. Currently like bad flu.
TimPosVaccinated and booster. Never had Covid. Currently like mild flew

I had, and continue to have, faith in my natural immunity. The other unvaccinated guy claims to have never had Covid, but his wife did, so I think it's possible he had an asymptomatic case and therefore has immunity.

The part I find most bothersome is the guy who first tested positive. He's had a symptomatic case before and just had another. To me, this lends some credence to my biggest fear of getting vaccinated, that the vaccinations damage existing natural immunity.

Don’t need to, only know that most here don’t go starting threads every time they catch a cold.

Yeah, but if it were Russians catching Covid you'd be all over it.

I never got it during the height of the pandemic. Girlfriend and son got it.

Then I had to go into the hospital for a few days last year and they offered me the vax and I took it.

Still haven’t gotten it but now wish I didn’t get the vax.

Why bother even testing? I would’ve give a dime of my hard earned money for any of these tests. If I get sick, I get sick. I don’t have an urge to know if it’s COVID.

What gets me is why anyone bothers to get tested anymore.

Imagine the world if there was a test for the common cold.

er... /s

The irony is that continued testing serves to undermine the narrative.

I'm 75, with underlying health issues. Never got the jabs, and never will. April 30th of this year, I took my blood pressure, and it was 185 over 83, and my face felt tingly. I've been on blood pressure medication since I was in my early 30's. My blood pressure has been that high before, mostly when I had to fast for gastro procedures. I decided to drive to the hospital here to have it checked out. I had no other symptoms, no fever, body aches, nothing. They checked everything, did CAT scans, bloodwork, and did a Covid test. The only thing they found was that I tested positive for Covid. They gave me Paxlovid to take for five days. Since I had no symptoms, it probably didn't do anything, and since that time, Pfizer has taken the drug off the market because they admitted it was ineffective.

Having Covid was the least of my problems. These past two weeks, I've had health issues because my doctor changed medications, that I had adverse reactions to. One was Lisinopril/Hydrochloridthiazide, and the other was Atorvastatin. The lab tests showed not only low sodium, but It had wreaked havoc on my liver and kidney numbers, bilirubin, platelets, creatine, albumin, just about everything was either high or low. The symptoms I was having were many. The day after the lab work, I ended up driving to the ER because I woke up sweating profusely, heart rate up, left arm and hand, which had already felt inflamed for a week, was even worse. They told me to stop taking the Atorvastatin and Lisinopril/Hydrochloridthiazide. I told the ER doctor that I suspected my symptoms were related to the Atorvastatin, and had stopped taking it five days earlier. She said: "Good!" Since then I also stopped taking the Fosamax my doctor prescribed for me in early April. I discovered that Fosamax is in the same drug class as Actonel, which my gynecologist put me on when I was going through menopause. It caused my liver enzymes to go so high, they thought I had liver cancer. Doctors can do more damage to you than a lousy virus.

I agree with your thinking. The shots killed our natural immunity...Just too many break through cases.

I am beginning to think plane rides are an infection point. They are probably flying non vaxxed sick illegals on free red eye flights and then not having sanitation time for those of us paying......same goes for hotel rooms the govt. pays for!!

What was posted was Zev’s treatment...Assuming have symptoms...

I think the D3 may be more effective as a preventative as it takes a while to build in system.

Forgot to mention that they also did another Covid test on me during my last ER visit on June 15th, and it was negative.

“Yes I vacced and had one booster, lot of good that did me!”

You sound like my wife’s family in the Midwest. 3 generations have the latest Covid crud.

Everyone had at least 2 vaccinations and most had booster shots.

Their symptoms are a liturgy of allergies and maybe a spring cold or a FLV.

No fevers, just allergy/cold symptoms and feeling like a brick wall hit them for a couple of days.

All of these people are in great shape and non abusers of drugs/alcohol.

Congratulations! You have chosen wisely and do not have ADE. Your friend’s immune systems have been compromised by a nefarious plan to reduce our population and bring those surviving into a dependent state. Keep fighting the good fight! Hopefully your friends survive long enough to do so as well.

Get with the program. Your line is: "thankfully I took the vaxxine, or my symptoms would have been much worse."

I hope you feel better soon.

On a future golfing trip to ‘Vegas you might want to consider the courses at the Paiute Reservation, about 25 miles north of the city.

I’m not a golfer but I enjoy having lunch at the clubhouse and enjoying the beautiful view of the courses and the mountains in the background.

For what it’s worth, I appreciate the personal report. It’s more believable than Fauci.

If your original statement was supposed to be, “it’s just a cold, now”, I appreciate that, too. People are testing and getting all excited, for what is largely a cold, now.

Also, does anyone ask, ‘We never had tests for a specific cold before, did we?” Funny how that works. “Paging Mr. Gain of Function…Will Anthony Fauci please answer the white curtesy phone…”

“For what it’s worth, I appreciate the personal report. It’s more believable than Fauci.”

I have testing kits, Ivermectin, and get sick every few months. Guess what, for the past year, I don’t care...if I’m sick, no testing, no Ivermectin, nothing...just...I get sick, just like 3+ years ago. That’s it for the virus, for me. As far as I’m concerned, the virus was something to worry about and treat differently, until Omicron, then it became the common cold.

“If your original statement was supposed to be, “it’s just a cold, now”, I appreciate that, too. People are testing and getting all excited, for what is largely a cold, now.”

Yep.
