I needed to make an appointment for a vision exam to get some new glasses. My ophthalmologist now refuses to see me because I have refused to take the clot shot. Another one similarly would not see me for the same reason. I told both of them that I reject THEM for insisting on a procedure which has been shown to have terrible side effects and which does not keep you from catching COVID. Witness the many "break-through" cases in the news. Finally found another one who will see me. Have any fellow FReepers experienced similar exclusions from doctors?
Also consider *not* living in a blue hellhole like NYC.
Fire him or her.
I use her for whatever telehealth visits make sense but I'm looking for another doctor who is not so gutless.
This is California so I've got my work cut out for me.
Obviously not go to them.
A lot of Black people have refused the vaccination. I bet they don’t deny treatment to them.
Are you an ex-hellholer?
“Give him a one star review on Yelp and healthgrades.” BINGO. That and file a complaint against them at the state dept. of health.
Unconscionable. Will they start refusing to see a patient because they abuse alcohol, smoke, obese, don’t exercise?
simply LIE. I do when it comes to the shot on “certain occasions when needed”.
But just seeing an opthamologist?? Seriously. Time to get off your high horse and just BS the other party. just tell them you got the shot and get your eye exams done. It’s also your fault for not picking up the vibe: Ok I said the truth here, it didnt work. Then maybe the next dude..
There’s plenty of more fish in the sea! Choose other better doctors with common sense.
Los Angeles. There during the 92 Riots and the aftermath.
So, yes! :P
Just tell those doctors that you would get the vax, except you’re not a Democrat.
How quaint, I’m seeing a doctor because I had the vaxxine.
Today’s blood test shows I still have clots 15 months after the clot shot.
BTT
Okay, you get a hall pass. 🥴
With you!
I tell people I’m not superstitious, so I’m not getting that vaccination.
Same goes for masks.
Print out the 157 page Johnson & Johnson label and have Doc read the first five pages outlining that it is Experimental Gene Therapy.
Oh, these people have been utterly brainwashed or have a gun held to their heads by the system they are working in, so they have to reject you.
I think people need to start pulling out the discrimination card and saying things out loud. “So, doc, you’re discriminating against me then, do I have that right?”
My spouse and I pulled our sponsorship of a local performing arts venue because of their vax requirement policy. Although we are white and in a mostly white community, we felt it discriminated against unvaxxed people of color who might want to attend a show—who have every reason to distrust the medical establishment and the vax. Every 501C3 ought to be examining whether or not going with mob rule over vaxxing is discriminating against various groups who can’t or shouldn’t get the vaccine.
I was thrilled that the Red Cross started doing screening for antibodies again in March, because I have proof of immunity after having had the disease in November, which is better than the clot shot. Anybody gives me the business, I can really pull the discrimination card. “Oh, even though my blood can be used for monoclonal antibodies to heal someone of Covid, you’re going to discriminate against me because I did not get the shot? I see.”
