A spokesperson for the Washington Post issued an apology after a writer retweeted a sexist joke and other writers at the news outlet objected vocally on Twitter.
Dave Weigel retweeted a joke about women on Friday and immediately regretted it after he was criticized heavily for joking on Twitter.
Weigel deleted the tweet, but it was saved for posterity by random people on Twitter and other writers at the outlet, like Felicia Sonmez, who objected to the sexist message.

Dave Weigel looks like a bad (worse?) version of Ron Burgundy (Will Ferrell’s “Anchorman” character).
From my experience, a large percentage of women determine whether a particular joke about women is sexist, sexual harassment, or acceptable based on how attractive they think the guy making the joke is.
Weigel failed to take this into account. If Christian Bale made the same exact tweet, millions of women would have posted how they peed themselves laughing and that it was sort of romantic.

As a conservative, I’m soooo torn on this. On the one hand, it’s the Twatshington Pest, and it couldn’t happen to anyone more deserving. On the other...ladies, it’s funny. Grow the **** up.

This Amazon Post guy blocked me years ago on twitter for mocking Democrats over the San Bernardino terrorist bombers. Like all liberals he can dish it out but not take it.
