Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Good Morning!
This one was tougher than it should have been:

It is a thing.
My husband’s theory is that part of the problem is that others are not setting up their tents correctly. He has set one up in the back yard - in anticipation of more downpour - to test the theory.
If he’s right, I will be happy to sit in a chair and read while he sets up all the tents correctly ;-).
Good morning, everyone. Happy Friday Eve!
Don’t look at me, kitteh. I didn’t make the world crazy.
Good weather continues here. Both in-laws have received their latest COVID booster. We noticed there’s no room on the official vaccination card for another so I guess they’re done.
Another 4-spot today.

What a cute meezer-cat! ♥️
What have they done to the Siamese? Oh my goodness!
Good morning.
Am I late? Oh. Wait. Yes, I am.
The doorbell rang at 0600 and I was still asleep. It was my neighbor Mona. Her mother is/was here for a visit, and Mona took all of the insults she could before finally coming over while her mother and step-dad were still in bed. She just had to unload on someone. She was here about an hour.
Then, I had to go to Kroger to start the process to have my prescriptions sent there, and picked up some stuff I can’t get at Walmart.
Driving FS’s truck was a real trip! I’m used to seeing the actual road ahead of me from the driver’s seat, and there is no way I can do that in that Red Truck! Crikey!
I was trying to get in the door when a text came in. My arms and hands were full of bags and keys, and I had to move the hairbrush before I could get in the door, then put the stuff down.
My phone was in my bag, and when I finally took it out of the pocket, I saw that my niece Kara had called. So I called her back. Seems someone has hacked one of my email accounts. I immediately changed the password, but I’m thinking I need to change the email account entirely. Just close it and open a different one.
I feel like my day is over with and I still have to sort pills. I also have some phone calls to make, and maybe I’ll get around to playing Wordle. Who knows, I might solve it in three today!
Well, I was close to three. ;o]

My high school BFF in Virginia has to call me and unload occasionally when her 90-year-old dad and 80-year-old stepmom visit her from New Joisey. She loves them dearly but they drive her ‘round the bend. So I can sympathize with Mona. LOL
Got an email from “you” this morning asking a favor, “you” wanted me to buy you an Apple gift card...
The very one. Now it would appear I need to check my other account....
Thanks...
So. Two accounts done. The security on the other is so good, I should probably just transfer all my contacts and call it good. Unngh.
But thanks for the alert. The password has been changed on that one, too.
Zatso? Where did we meet?
I guess you forgot. *sniff* *sob* How could you???
Mona has felt isolated here since she moved in 18 months ago and all it took were some kind words from me, my son and D-i-L the day I moved in, and she now comes to me when she has problems. Which isn’t too often, thankfully.
Don’t get me wrong. I will listen when she needs me. But she stays and she cries and talks and cries and sometimes, it’s two hours and a box of tissues before she has gotten it out of her system, poor thing.
I can only lend her an ear, but I can’t solve her problems. Still, if listening to her helps her find the answers, then I’m here. I’ll never turn her away.
LOL!
My niece didn’t even go that far. If she responded, it wasn’t kind! She took screen shots and texted them and when I didn’t respond, she called. So when my arms were empty, I called her back.
Hopefully changing the passwords helps. Of course, some of the people on the list have gone on to the Internet in the Sky, so they won’t be responding any time soon. Also, the rest of them are savvy enough that they know how to handle it all.
Got the same email... Am tempted to string them along a bit...
*chuckles menacingly*
You are probably more of a blessing to her than you realize. Sometimes, all somebody needs is for someone to listen and give the occasional sympathetic or encouraging word. ♥️
Wish I’d thought of that...
Excellent!
Thanks! Sometimes, that’s all any of us need, is just someone to hear what we have to say and not be judgmental about it. Too many years I had to muddle through on my own so if I can listen, and it helps, then that’s what I’ll do!
Ummm, no.
