Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

FS said he would come and get the last of the donation stuff (I don’t think it’s the last of it, but we’ll see!) He didn’t say when, but if the don’t go to Memphis, it may be today.
And outside of painting the door, I’m doing nothing. The symptoms are too intense.

It would make my tiny apartment look so much better. I sent him a text asking if they were going to Memphis and since I haven’t heard from him, I’m assuming not. PW is still having a lot of trouble with her back muscles, but I believe she’s one of those people who just cannot tolerate any amount of pain. Telling her to “cry like a man” would have no affect. FD is the same way. All pain is deadly and they’ll never survive it.
So I think a bumpy ride to and from Memphis (2.5 hours each way) would be too much for her. We’ll see.
The door won’t get painted until after the groceries are delivered.

Now that it seems that rain has returned, I actually need to be more careful with how I spend my time... I rarely have time to look at phone/computer during the daytime... pretty much early mornings for me... some time late at night...
