Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Sorry about your insomnia. I slept pretty well, although I was having dreams where I needed to remember facts about soil science and couldn’t.
Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
Beware rocking chairs.
Who would have thought there were so many words with that ending?

I dreamed about being at a fancy dress ball with lots of old British actors. How did I fit in? Very well! Evidently, watching all those British Murder Mysteries has paid off!
LOL!
Now I need to plug my phone in and then go take a shower.
Good morning.
My thoughts exactly on the word endings.
But you made it! Good job!
That’s a better dream than failing to know your soil facts. I was reading a book about soil the last thing before I shut the light off last night.
Umm ...
No, never mind.
Good morning, Bob. How are the earthworms and other soil-processing organisms in your ecosystem today?
In my personal ecosystem, they are salivating with anticipation.
Out in the yard and garden space, they are saying, “Whoa, Dude! Are you trying to make us fat?”
It sounds like a healthy, organic environment.
So would any other environment that is trying to eat you alive.
I’d rather Mother Nature kept her distance to at least a walking pace.
Good Morning!
Feel lucky to get it on row five today...

The big news around these parts is that they are opening a Costco warehouse in College Station later this week...
Good morning!
I managed a four today. Could have gone either way on this.

I have a neighbor who often laments that there’s not a Costco here. She’s going to be jealous when she finds out about this. LOL
I changed shirts at the first hint of thunder.
For some unfathomable reason my son laughed at me.
Hiya, Bob!
You didn’t happen to plant kudzu without goats to eat it, did you?
Today was weird. Again.
But good job! At least it wasn’t the dreaded X/6!
Little does your son know! LOL! You’re so gifted!
Maybe your son has no sense of style!
I’ve always thought that Waco would be a great location for one...
The drive to College Station will be less than half the time it takes to get to Cedar Park.... so that is a real plus!
Four before coffee, so...not bad, I guess.
I guessed this 5-letter word in 4/6 tries.
