Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Boy! Do I ever know THAT feeling!!
Good job, though, because you didn’t give up!
I don’t like anything that has a seat too close to the floor. They make my knees work too hard!
It’s a gorgeous sofa, though!
What could go wrong?
What makes you think something could go wrong? *RAWR* *pounce*
Good morning. I hope you had a catless night.
I was up in the dark again. I hate when I do that.
Maybe I’ll answer this stack of cards in front of me, today. I can’t do anything else without being in danger of more symptoms. So I’ll just have a day in Quiet Time.
No cats during the night, and only one trip to the bathroom.
Good morning. Happy Friday Eve!
Still moderate weather. That’s supposed to change this weekend.
The princess still isn’t sure she likes her new prescription food. Mrs. ArGee is worried. I’ve suggested that a dog won’t starve itself when food is there.
Rough going today. There were at least two choices when I typed the last one. At least I didn’t get the X.

“I’ve suggested that a dog won’t starve itself when food is there.”
That seems intuitively obvious.
Good morning, Bob. I hope you are well!
LOL!
Good choice of words, Bob!
Good morning and Happy Thursday!
I hope you’re all doing well - pets too.
Pulled a fiver today.

Back to the drawing board!
Good Thursday Morning!
ArGee, usually your hunch is correct — a dog will eat the food in front of her/him when she/he is hungry enough...
So after row three, there were numerous choices.... I went with my ‘gut’ first choice... lucked out today...

Ugh... there were an amazing number of possibilities given those first 3 letters...
I’m working on a translation for the music director at church, but the English version is so vague and jargony that I can’t figure out what he means, let alone translate it. I’ll have to give up until he answers several questions of, “Does ‘this string of words you wrote’ mean ‘this comprehensible sentence I wrote’?”
It reminds me of editing nuclear weapons safety manuals for my late father and an electrical engineering Master’s thesis for my current husband. “This group of words: is it a thing, or is it an action?”
Is that where you do them? I do them on my phone.
One time when I knew where some letters went I tried making a chart and creating options, but I finally decided I’d live with the X.
Now I sit wondering what kind of hymn includes nuclear weapons safety or electrical engineering concepts.
Maybe Bob can help.
Now I sit wondering what kind of hymn includes nuclear weapons safety or electrical engineering concepts.
Not sure about nuclear weapons safety but Earth and All Stars includes “Classrooms and labs, loud boiling test tubes, sing to the Lord a new song...”
There’s also the parody? hymn “Send us thine asteroid.”
Some days, it’s harder for me to spot the letters I’ve used than others, so yeah, I use a drawing board. Of sorts.
