Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

A marmalade for breakfast!
Good morning.
How was the concert last night?
I had to get up an hour early because of the stupid water heater so I can be ready at 0700 for breakfast with my FS.
See ya in a bit!

Good morning. Happy Humph Day!
The princess has decided she’s going to be a free feeder again. I’m not sure if it’s something about her prescription food or just something. But she’s not starving so I guess it’s OK.
Surprise!

The concert was excellent, but the performers (I heard from another attendee) didn’t want the audience to sit down. Thus, the chairs were not set up, and my foot still hurts. A lot. I’ll take some pills in a minute.
We had fish tacos for dinner, and then we went to the cat cafe, where Patrick had a coffee and I had lemonade, and we watched cats ignoring people who had paid to hang around in the “cat lounge” part.
Good morning and Happy Wednesday!
We have customers in town so I’ll be working out of the office today instead of from my home. A little variety in life. We met them for dinner last night. They’re from New England and claim to be loving our weather. Riiiight. Nice people, though.
I’m on the four-train today.

If it is Wordle, we all have our gifts.
If it is ribs, oh my poor Darksheare, that is a true tragedy.
Cause they were delicious.
The performers don’t seem to know what the “D-word” is: Discrimination. In not setting up chairs, they’re discriminating against those with (even minor) disabilities. But then, I’m sensitive to that, having had to learn a lot of the ADA laws when I worked in transportation.
I’m sorry about your foot. Did the pills help?
Just got back from breakfast with my FS, and bless his heart, he was kind to me. I picked up a few grocks (that Walmart doesn’t carry) and got some quarters, though I only got two rolls because Customer Service wasn’t open yet. At least this replaces some that I “loaned” to Mona on Sunday.
The waitress at the cafe wasn’t paying attention and didn’t get my order right, so there was some confusion, and FS said he heard me order the Senior Breakfast. (I can’t possibly eat the same breakfast he eats!!) It was fixed, though, so no harm, no foul. The waitress apologized and though I felt it wasn’t necessary, I also know that the apology was necessary. It’s just good for business.
Breakfast was nice, as it always is with him, so that was a good start to my day.
I haven’t had ribs since the late Sionnsar took me to dinner on one of his trips to Vegas.
Thanks for the memory jog!
Did breakfast come with orange juice? Because I can still remember Anita Bryant telling us all that breakfast without orange juice is like night.
Or something like that anyway.
No, actually. I can’t even recall when the last time was that I had orange juice with breakfast. Unless it was one of those “hair-of-the-dog” breakfasts, when I had a mimosa. LONG time ago!
There was probably something in the ticket purchase to indicate whether a person needed disability accommodation. I took more pills, and my foot feels better.
I’m glad you enjoyed your breakfast.
So the Thundering Horde(tm) got me a game a week or so ago. You play as a cat wandering around a city, I think it is suppose to be future Hong Kong or something. Anyhow, cute game.
Someone in the "Gaming Community" is now upset about this game, where you play as a cat, in a ruined city, full of robots, because some of the robots are wearing coolie hats. Or, as they are known in my part of the world, gardening hats.
Why a robot is wearing a hat I do not know. I do not know why they have a robot that knits scarves either. It is a game, go with it.
So while I am unwinding playing in game in which I am a lost kittah trying to find it's family I am annoying liberals.
This. Is. Great.
Ah. You mean like a “disclaimer?” Yeah. There is always one of those to “CYA,” and that’s not “Catholic Youth Association!” ;o]
Good Morning (at least it is still morning here)!
Late start, and late solution... I don’t think that it has ever taken me so long...

A five me today too.
I am going to be forced to go out in a bit. I do not want to but we are having a shampoo shortage in the house as our big bottles of shampoo somehow got left at The Cabin in the Woods and I am NOT going to drive two hours to retrieve them.
Why both of them thought it was necessary to take both big new bottles is also a mystery.
Good job to all of you today!
I’m always impressed with this bunch of game players! You’re all amazing!
;o]
Consider, HTB, that you probably annoy a great number of liberals by breathing.
And not just because you are emitting CO2 when you breathe.
