Meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom,' NASA says
The “bright fireball” was traveling at 35,000 mph when it exploded at 8:03 a.m. with the “energy equivalent of 3 tons of TNT,” according to NASA Meteor Watch, the agency's project that tracks fireball activity.
“Existing law states that any meteorites belong to the owner of the property on which they fell; out of respect for the privacy of those in the area, we will not disclose the locations of these finds,”
And finding anything of value is likely harder than you think.
“The pieces from this object were way too small to leave a crater. Unlike what you see in the movies, meteorites are not ‘flaming rocks of doom’ that blast holes in the ground. In fact, you can pick one up right after it hits ground. So no smoking rocks in small craters.”

Well, yes, it would be now that I think about it. My childhood friend’s husband used to go bow hunting for deer and elk. He preferred that to hunting with a rifle.

Back from church, and now it’s time for Nap With Jake.
I was able to watch both meetings but didn’t get the connection until well into the first speaker’s talk in the first meeting.
Still, it was good to get the two meetings instead of just the one. I had complained about it last week, so I’m hoping I was the reason they get the bugs works worked out.
The PW had to put in her 2¢ worth, and I’m sure everyone knew it was about me, since I wasn’t there. Beginning to paint that ugly picture of her M-i-L. Delightful!

Like I said, CFIDS. Everything is magnified and blown out of proportion. I don’t like it but there it is. And yes, it sucks to be her.

F-i-l’s week whacker wouldn’t start. Turns out he poured pure oil into the gas tank. I got it cleaned up and the spark plug cleaned off so it runs, but wife and her brother decided his 90th b-day present should be an electric battery-powered job. That arrived yesterday so I’ll go show him how to use it today. Hopefully that will go well.
I finally crashed a Wordle on Saturday so my streak maxed at 182. Now at 2.

It was cloudy yesterday but clear this morning. Gonna be hot. Which I don’t mind if I could breathe.
