If Russia breaks up, NATO is finished, and for good riddance. The other entity that needs to go away is the UN.

That may be - but Mr. Sumlenny's position appears to me to be "untainted" by leftism. I'm willing to give him a "pass" here.
Nevertheless, I find his position far too influenced by wishful thinking. He is far too passionate in his delivery, and is one step away from actually trying to incite revolution.
I think that he deliberately understated very obvious and valid arguments AGAINST his position: How thinly populated and economically dependent upon the central state most of those "autonomous regions" and "republics" are; how high the percentage of ethnic Russians in their populations is; what little history of independent self-rule most of those regions have; long-standing (ethnic / religious) animosities existing between many different regions; etc.
Where he gets positively delusional is when he talks about how idyllic the situation of the new, post-Russian nations would be: "No war," "prosperity," etc. He gets almost giddy!

Why would NATO go away just because Russia breaks up. NATO doesn't exist just because of Russia, no matter how paranoid Putin is.
NATO protects against all external and internal threats. Even a NATO member can't attack another NATO member without bringing the alliance down on them.
The UN also wouldn't be affected by a Russia breakup. I think some reform of the UN is needed.
Look in the mirror.
In reality it is the U.S. that could breakup, main reason will be the Debt and the growing Health Care portion of the Federal Government Budget.

Actually, this is the opposite. What this gent is positing is that these breakaway states with be largely ethnic. That’s the opposite of globalist.

I doubt very much that Biden has possession of the "football". Nor do I believe that he has the ability to operate it, even if he gained possession of it.

This is what Putin and the Russian government have warned their citizens that the West's goals were. And, this garbage article validates that.
The goal of the globalists isn't a better life for Russians. Reagan sought to make the lives of this communist nations better by freeing them from communism. The goal of globalist monsters to destroy Russia, raid of its resources and turn into a money pit for our corrupt political class and their financial backers. They want Russia to be as corrupt and much of a cash cow as Ukraine. They couldn't give a damn how much the Russian people might suffer.
