I don't know if they will be allowed to join the EU for quite some time. But it is reasonable, that since Moscow would no longer be taking their resources, that they would use their resources to initiate and increase trade with countries close to them in both regions.

If you want to support countries that hold the line a bit against the LGBTQP tidal wave, then support Poland and the Republic of Georgia. Last night I got up and watched videos of reporting from France and Germany.
My observation is that Putin now actually controls Europe. That means he controls France and Germany and the rest of Europe doesn’t matter. Both France and Germany have enough politicians who fear the trauma of no Russian oil and gas to in essence surrender to Putin’s will. Apprently Germany made a to do of sending weapons to Ukraine but somehow hasn’t actually done so.
Reporting from Russia is slim, but after the first days of problems and shortages and money problems, things have settled down. The sanctions have been absorbed and are not so much a problem. There is inflation but the world is experiencing inflation problems.
I don’t know when the poll was taken but I think shortly before the invasion, Putin approval was 83%.
France and Germany are cowards who will not give a whit about the long term when their short term political status quo is at stake
