"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.

He has the personality of a dictator - incapable of understanding how anyone could disagree with him, lying without conscience about what he has done or said. For example, when questioned about his exit from Afghanistan he said that it was the only way that it could be done.
Second, people in D.C. are either afraid of Bitem or they have lost interest. There is no organized resistance to his dictatorial policies or his executive orders.

I wish I had a compilation of how many times Brandon has waxed poetic in his jealousy of "autocratic" governments, how quickly they can react, the slowness of democracies, and that the future belongs to the autocrats. He's downright green with envy!

I was taught as an officer that it was up to me to decide if an order was illegal and/or inappropriate (additional data on hand, changes in situation, etc) and that I would pay the consequences if I was wrong....so be right...achieve the mission, but always take care of your people.
