Some posters in FR seem to get upset with me when I point out the shortcomings of Truth Social. I get accused of being a troll or someone will say they have been accessing the platform in full body bliss for at least 24 hours now and that I need to get a life or learn to be patient or if that doesn't work they will call all kinds of names.
We correctly complain about the shortcomings of the established "social media" platforms but have little concern for those that should give voice to conservatives. Such is the mission of Truth Social, to bring twitter and facebook to it's knees.
It has been more than a month since Truth Social made it's soft launch. It is impossible to know exactly how many users have been granted access but it seems reasonable to say about 500,000 It also seems reasonable to to estimate the number waiting in the wings to gain access at another 1,000,000 To use myself as an example, I registered my account on Feb 21, was given a place in a waitlist at #312,624 and had my phone number verified on 2/28/22 I still wait in the line along with my wife who registered a few days after me and has a waitlist number approx 1,200,000
Of the official information coming out from the company that runs Truth Social, we were informed in February that around March 21, access would open up to Android users and by the end of March the "soft launch" status would be revised to a general useage.
Truth Social maintains a presence on the WWW. There is really no information there, no FAQs, no Blogs and no news releases. It is reasonable to speculate that the persons running Truth Social are not, as individual human beings, "social" as most would identify the word with. My guess is they are locked inside a cave in at a remote location on the North Slope in Alaska, far from access to the internet.
There are quite a number of facebook sites that are set up to discuss Truth Social in all it's fascinating details. A surprising number of them are Pro-Trump and not there to bash TS. Think about it, why is there a need to go to facebook to find out what is going on at Truth Social?
I think that if there is one question that those who are disappointed with the way TS has been handled is would be "What in the h*ll is wrong with Truth Social?"
And that is the question.
Trump would never surround himself with people who would undermine him. He has always known how to pick the best talent.< /i>
I tried to sign up on day 1, it got hung up on my first attempt, I tried to create another account with different email. I was # approx 110K and 190K.
Verification emails were received days later for 1 account. Small window of time to respond which was missed.
I don’t see my waiting list numbers anymore, I am signed out, my passwords don’t work, when trying to reset password, it says a reset email sent, but have received none.
Simple, basic resets and verification email issues seems REALLY bad.
Kind of don’t have time to care at this point.
Know 1 person that is in and says it’s great. Who knows.
It is quite difficult to go against a monopoly. The US government used to be against monopolies.

I’ve suspected the same thing with the one gmail email account.
I was 485,675 and I got in 2 days ago. I haven’t had much of an opportunity to check it out yet.

This is how they treat the guy who started the President Trump Channel on DISQUS which had 275k followers when we were deplatformed.

Due to the dysfunctional nature of the launch of this platform there has been a number of bogus Android apps and websites claiming to provide access to Truth Social which are actually scams, defrauding people of money and personal data.
The liberal media is having a field day bashing us because of this botched rollout. This was not necessary and totally avoidable. But apparently some of us are ok with that.
Well fine. But I wasn’t commenting on TS but on the weird personal attack on someone for very reasonably communicating some what seem to be valid concerns. Questions about TS make one a traitor?
I’m confused, if you want an apology from me then please consider this it.

Again, as we pointed out previously, they stated that they are attempting to open up significantly at the end of March, assuming all goes well.
I finally got on after several weeks. I’m actually really starting to like this platform. If nothing else, I’ll be visiting frequently just to have a look at the current offerings from Hot Chicks Golfing! :)
And I think you’re dissing perhaps the only possible wide-spread source of unmolested information in free-flow that seems to be out there in a sea of leftist censorship and suppression. You’re doing a disservice, IMO.

If it were only half as good as twitter then it would be fantastic for if only one is allowed to post without worry about being PC. And it’s probably going to be fantastic.
My point has to do with the ham fisted rollout and the continued lack of direction and urgency. We as conservatives get hammered enough we didn’t need another reason to be pummeled. But we got us one.
Forgotten in this mess is that TS is intended to be a revenue producing entity. If it doesn’t show a positive cash flow it dies on the vine. The customers are the ones paying for what the service provides. That service depends of our eyeballs being glued to the platform. Either ads or data or both. It’s going to be free to us, but it’s not free.

I’m sorry you feel that way. I work in a very blue state and everyday get to hear about how President Trump is #%$# and here comes Truth Social not helping in the slightest.
Again all of this could have been avoided and is unnecessary. It’s as if we shot ourselves in the foot but refuse to stop the bleeding because we don’t want to admit we made a mistake.
I understand your frustration, but at this point what have you got? Or the potential to get? Sure, there are (may) be problems with the venue, but what is your alternative? I never once had success in beating someone when they’re down to get results. Stay positive is my best advice.
