Some posters in FR seem to get upset with me when I point out the shortcomings of Truth Social. I get accused of being a troll or someone will say they have been accessing the platform in full body bliss for at least 24 hours now and that I need to get a life or learn to be patient or if that doesn't work they will call all kinds of names.
We correctly complain about the shortcomings of the established "social media" platforms but have little concern for those that should give voice to conservatives. Such is the mission of Truth Social, to bring twitter and facebook to it's knees.
It has been more than a month since Truth Social made it's soft launch. It is impossible to know exactly how many users have been granted access but it seems reasonable to say about 500,000 It also seems reasonable to to estimate the number waiting in the wings to gain access at another 1,000,000 To use myself as an example, I registered my account on Feb 21, was given a place in a waitlist at #312,624 and had my phone number verified on 2/28/22 I still wait in the line along with my wife who registered a few days after me and has a waitlist number approx 1,200,000
Of the official information coming out from the company that runs Truth Social, we were informed in February that around March 21, access would open up to Android users and by the end of March the "soft launch" status would be revised to a general useage.
Truth Social maintains a presence on the WWW. There is really no information there, no FAQs, no Blogs and no news releases. It is reasonable to speculate that the persons running Truth Social are not, as individual human beings, "social" as most would identify the word with. My guess is they are locked inside a cave in at a remote location on the North Slope in Alaska, far from access to the internet.
There are quite a number of facebook sites that are set up to discuss Truth Social in all it's fascinating details. A surprising number of them are Pro-Trump and not there to bash TS. Think about it, why is there a need to go to facebook to find out what is going on at Truth Social?
I think that if there is one question that those who are disappointed with the way TS has been handled is would be "What in the h*ll is wrong with Truth Social?"
And that is the question.

Any possible answers? It’s quite new, and it’s competitors are established brands. It’s going to take a while, even if everything is done right.
seems YOU’RE the disappointment dude. Why work so hard to tamp down a hugely promising enterprise that will allow us to extricate ourselves from the wicked cabal? I guess YOU’RE part of the wicked cabal.

Truth Social is having a poor launch.
The Obamacare site was WAY worse.
1. We paid for the Obamacare site.
2. We were required by law to use it.
True...perhaps launched too soon before they were ready for a full roll out. This post is far from the only account of disappointment.

You would have a great point if we were discussing the construction of a large city in the first century BC.
But alas, we are talking about an internet chit chat board, using legacy database software and COTS hardware.

I’ll stick my neck out and say I TOTALLY agree with you - Truth Social has been one of the single worst launches in internet history.
Face it..Truth was always going to be a target for the left. So what’s one of THE stupidest things Nunes and Trump could have done? Bungle the launch - badly. That just gave the left even MORE ammo to fire at Truth. You could bank on the fact they were going to hammer it no matter what..now, they have even more material to deride it with.
Even worse, the single biggest draw to Truth is Trump. And he’s not posting. AT. ALL. How idiotic is that?! Yeah, I know..some have said he wants to wait until everyone is on. Bad idea. People are signing up to Truth largely to hear what Trump has to say..and he hasn’t posted anything other than we’d hear from him ‘soon’.
I love Trump’s “America First” outlook and his policies. But the guy is not without faults. And they’re some big ones. One glaring fault is that he often does things partway, which is surprising from someone that built a multi-billion dollar business empire. He’s always had this mystique of the Midas touch with business in general. Which makes the fact he often does things like this (partway) such a mystery.
I spent my entire 4+ decade career in IT, and the one thing you NEVER, EVER do is launch a big app before it’s fully tested and completely ready. I mean, EVER. If you do, you’re going to have massive problems - just like Truth Social does today.
Just keeping it real, so please spare the snarky responses. I’d love for Truth to be wildly successful, but we have to face reality that it’s been a debacle to this point.
Millions of people want on Trump Social. In other words, millions of people still want Trump.
That in and of itself is more telling than any any useless website.

The launch isn’t important, what’s important is where it ends up.
Think about it, why the hell are any Pro-Trump conservatives on FACEBOOK?!?!!
Other than Texas, the next primary is May 17, and the Texas runoff is May 24.
I'd rather see Nunes take the time to get it right with RightForge and handle the attacks they've had so far with minimal disruption to the flow.

So a technology engineer reports to work over at TS HQ and his boss assigns a task and he or she doesn’t do that task rather he goes into the database code, removes a few commas thus gumming up the works. Seems reasonable.
Then, to counter all the negative press and quiet the general population which is getting ready to fill oak barrels with pine pitch and gathering up a number of feather pillows, another boss at HQ assigns a writer with a degree from a state uni the task of putting together a press release explaining that internal sabotage efforts are being discovered but fear now you private data is safe and secure and Truth Social is on schedule to roll out it’s Android app two days ago and full access is on schedule for March 31.
When I finally get access to TS I intend on report back with my opinions in a truthful way.
Still on the waiting list. 😔
It remains in beta and has t launched yet.
Given the demand, I’m all for them getting it right before it’s fully operational.
It’s a marathon. Not a spring.
