I’ve never done a vanity of this nature before and few vanities period in 22 years here ..maybe 3-4 She was a greater NYC resident who I think with her husband moved to the Deep South maybe Alabama in older age a few years ago She was erudite and smart I liked her a lot and both of us having been Manhattan dwellers when younger appreciated one another defending the finer aspects I believe she’d worked in theatre or the arts She was a true lady here It dawned on me she stopped posting early 2020 with no heads up which is often not good without some foretelling Does anyone know anything Thank y’all
Admin please place where you desire I tried to keep it off main channels
she had a lot of knowledge, and big doses of wit and grit.
I miss her, too.
Miss Marmelstein was a guy.
Or so he told me.
LOL, probably a cat, too.
On the Internet, nobody knows you are a Cat...:)
Freeper dp0622 passed on, I believe. I used to have discourse with him quite a bit. I liked him. I hope he is chuckling good-naturedly at us from wherever he is right now...:)
I have met plenty of Freepers offline, down in the Washington DC area, and I went to a Free Republic convention one year.
I was not disappointed. I found them all to be stand up, passionate people, even the quirky ones who might have found me quirkier!

Thanks for the info. Sad to hear.
I think a lot of people had discourse with him.
He was so prolific in his posting I noticed when he stopped posting.
I think you are wrong.
Last posting explains, and it was Dec.
Perhaps you think of another such name.

See 67.
Always good to have a few from the Big Town around this place.
“everyone hates NYS but I grew up there....I love it there”
Ditto. I grew up in NYS — western/rural. Absolutely gorgeous! Wonderful people. It’s much like the landscape and people here in eastern TN.
Same. Class of '98 here and since you mentioned her, I haven't seen Nita_Nupress in ages. I'm pushing 60 myself which means I'll probably disappear sometime soon also.
Were you in South Carolina in the summer of 2001 for the Freeper Convention?
Good God! I sure hope I am wrong-I have not seen him for a while, and some freeper told me he had passed on!
dp0622, if you are out there IT WASN’T ME!
Of course, here’s to hoping you got the Tom Sawyer treatment!
That was before my time-I joined in 2004. I went to the one in Washington DC - I don’t remember the date, but it might have been 2010-The First Annual Free Republic Tea Party Convention.
LOL, it was a lot of fun. I drank a lot of 7&7s and cornered some poor guy who I admired and chewed his ear off.
Sigh. He would probably never forgive me for that one.
If I remember correctly, he claimed to be in his fifties????
OMG, are you sure. I never had contact with him, but he was so typically the Italian Uncles I knew.
RIP, he certainly was passionate about his beliefs.
Regards
Our family wishes doggies had Eternal Life.
What a comfort it is just to watch them.
God loves them too.
I am so happy he is still with us.
Thanks so much for letting me know.
His posts were always entertaining sprinkled with Family stories that reminded me of my family.
Hope he feels better about coming here soon.
I miss his posts.
I like yours, too, Rebel!
You’re too nice, Maris, and you’re welcome. I just couldn’t believe it since I swore I saw his posting more recently.
(Nice to finally have some idea of what Maris is actually like, rather than hearsay from the husband….)
I pm ed him a little while back and he said he was taking a break and seemed surprised he was missed
