Former San Luis Obispo mayor and climate change activist Heidi Harmon attempted to “do the right thing,” and travel to a rally in San Francisco in an electric car. After multiple attempts to find a working charging station in San Jose, Harmon realized charging the car would take up to seven hours and there was no way she could make the rally. Harmon posted multiple videos about her difficulties in traveling in an all-electric vehicle. She discusses calling the police or asking someone to send a helicopter to rescue her.
Harmon spearheaded an effort last summer to enact a city energy policy requiring all-electric new buildings. At that time, Mayor Harmon sat on the Central Coast Energy Board of Directors, the electric energy company she was promoting. Harmon stepped down from her mayoral seat in August to battle climate change, Harmon said. Harmon is now working as a senior public affairs director for the Romero Institute’s Let’s Green CA initiative, a nonprofit affiliated with Central Coast Community Energy.
Harmon posted multiple videos during her attempt to charge the electric car she was driving on the Lets Green CA Instagram page, which she later shared to her own Instagram page. Since then, some of the videos have been deleted, and Harmon disabled her personal Instagram page.

We saw this mentality decades ago from those who oppose hunting because meat is readily available in the supermarket.
I drive an electric car on long trips sometimes and it takes a bit of planning. The planning part, for me, is the fun part. The plugshare app gives details and current status of charging stations, but you should also have a backup plan. From her video it looks like she did not plan at all and didn’t even know the difference between a level 2 and a level 3 charger.
Also, I know that my car is not saving the environment. I bought it because I like the quietness, the fast response and tight handling and especially the low maintenance with no radiator, no transmission, no timing belt, no oil changes, no alternator etc... and we save a little money on gas.
Battery technology is about to take off. ............

Hard to believe the twits at my former college would elect her. After visiting YouTube videos of Cal Poly on YouTube, I’m ashamed to be associated with this college. These kids are so stupid, it’s beyond belief. CP SLO use to be know for educational excellence. Now it’s anything but.
It’s roughly 238 miles from SLO to Frisco. Her electric car couldn’t handle that on a single charge? Beyond belief.

I went back and watched it again-it is funnier to watch when you look at them as Lefties and not as Persons.
When I first saw it, and looked at her as a person, it frightened me a little (this is a person who thinks real thoughts like this person...and they live among us!) and I almost felt pity and sadness.
Then, when I looked at them like a Lefty, and you realize that you have to view them as a Lefty and not as a person (Because the Leftism completely submerges and disappears The Person by design) then it becomes both humorous and anger inducing.
I say that Leftism both submerges and disappears The Person by design, because that is what collectivism does. In collectivism, the group (Leftism) is FAR more important than the individual.
I view leftism more as a mental disorder than a political ideology.
