Just getting on FR - I saw that citrus peel/bean combo and almost lost my lunch just thinking about it.
I’ve seen and copied the citrus peel recipe, and I think it is very good (used citrus peels before against flu/viruses). But beans (HUGE FREAKING SHUDDER)????
If someone wants to I won’t stop them. But I would never ever ever mix them together.
Fir or pine needles (that aren’t toxic ones) I suppose could be added, but imho (and it is merely my opinion) why not keep them separate? Simmered needles taste pretty bad. I’d rather keep em separate and take by themselves with honey.
More and more complex ingredients isn’t necessarily always better or more potent. I also see no need for adding citric acid, which is EXTREMELY sour, and is not the same thing as Vit. C. Best thing if one wants VIt C is drink the juice from the citrus but not cooked, as the Vit C cooks out.
