Jeff just increased his weekly focus time for BO from one afternoon to two afternoons each week whereas Elon lives on site in Boca Chica. For one, it’s a hobby and for the other it’s truly a passion bordering on obsession.

Yup. Also, Bezos built Amazon using a lot of underwriters’ money, and it spent many years without profits. His pattern of once-in-a-while launches also suggests a risk-avverse approach.

To say the least, Musk doesn’t take a risk-averse approach. Falcon 1 had 4 launches, first three were failures, and the fourth one used up all his investment. We’ll never see it, but I wish SpaceX would go public.

Jeff Bezos might be getting all of these contracts because he also owns the Washington Post, the paper read by most of the Washington Establishment.
