Probiotics-COVID-19: A new study by Italian researchers from the University of Rome and the University of L’Aquila has found that oral bacteriotherapy involving probiotics comprising of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria not only decreases the risk of respiratory failure in COVID-19 but it also decreases the risk of disease severity and also the need for hospitalization. Oral administration of the probiotic mixture also increase blood oxygen levels including p02, O2Hb and Sa02 compared to patients only receiving standard care.
The study findings were published in the peer reviewed journal: Nutrients. https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6643/13/8/2898
In the study a therapeutic probiotic compound called SLAB51 which is basically an oral bacteriotherapy comprising of lactic acid bacteria and bifidobacteria was used to investigate the therapeutic effects of bacteriotherapy on COVID-19 and the mechanisms involved and how these mechanisms are activated.
The same study team in a in a previous retrospective study of 200 patients had showed that COVID-19 infected individuals treated with a specific formulation of bacteria (SLAB51) had a significantly higher chance of survival. Moreover, they also reported then that the risk of developing respiratory failure for a patient is reduced eightfold by administering SLAB51 in addition to the standard used therapy. https://internal-journal.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnut.2020.613928/full

Yogurt is just fermented milk.
I had a discussion with my kids about this...
A few years ago there was some article written about the amount of dirt (and bugs) that people unknowingly consume each year. More than most think.
Wish I could find the information.
So milk is good again?
That actually looks really good, especially at that price. I use Swanson for a lot of my supplements
If my gut is happy, I’m happy.
I treat it accordingly. 😇
pingify me if you find it.
I’ve got some kids that need to see it too.
I take Philips Colon Health Immunity formula daily. I know I had Covid two weeks ago. I immediately broke out the supplies I stockpiled to treat at home, including Emergen-C with zinc, tonic water and Mucinex. (I had already been taking high dose D3 for years.) I was back to feeling normal in 3 days.
I look for buzzwords. That one has glycoprotein.
So do vaccines...such as pneumonia and I think the meningitis shot.
Yuuum. My daughter’s fiance makes great sauerkraut. Red cabbage, not green.
I also buy fermented olives and okra from a company in florida https://www.olivemypickle.com/
Lactoferrin for the treatment of COVID-19 (Review) in Experimental and Therapeutic Medicine, October 27, 2020.
I wondered if food grade diatomaceous earth would be beneficial against Covid-19.
Most people don’t realize your gut biome is the key to your immune system.
If you aren’t going to get the Covid vaccine it seems lactoferrin is reasonable to try.
I keep meaning to get some every time it is mentioned. I am going to have to order it this time
Raw milk is best...if you can get it
I take Philips Probiotic daily, Vit D-3 5,000 units, Vit C 1,000 units, Zinc 50mg, Vit B-1, along w/ 24 Rxs. Hell, I can’t keep track. LOL.
You should see the line-up of pills, every afternoon when I lay them out on a napkin. That’s an old pic; I have 7-8 more now.
You have FRMail...
TY.
Last week it was Liposomal Colostrum.
What will it be next week?
There was a thread on it.
I noted that Swanson’s Lactoferrin is 27% off — at least today.
They sent an email with daily special on their brands.
I don’t work for Swanson’s ;)
