Ivermectin is an anti-parasitic drug that has been used since the mid-1970s to treat river blindness and intestinal infections. It has been documented by frontline doctors around the world to also be a safe and effective treatment for COVID-19. Ivermectin has found widespread use in Latin America and India and was just recommended for treatment against COVID in Japan.
In the United States, however, not only is ivermectin not FDA-approved, but it is demonized with a near-religious fervor.
Why is the U.S. medical establishment so opposed to ivermectin? They say it's because large-scale trials have not been done. But this rings hollow, with evidence from around the world saying just the opposite. More likely, the true answers circle back to money and reputations.
Let's break this down in some detail. Before doing so, keep two things in mind. First, ivermectin is an oral drug. It is not a vaccine. Second, ivermectin is off-patent, meaning that it is cheap.
1) The approval of ivermectin for COVID would severely dampen vaccine sales. People would reason, "Why should I take a risky vaccine when, if I catch COVID, it can be treated?" The fear of the vaccine lobby is that approval of ivermectin would fuel vaccine hesitancy, especially when they are advocating for booster shots perhaps even on a yearly basis.
2) The release of the COVID vaccines was done under an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) grant. This EUA was predicated by the belief that there was no effective treatment for COVID. This allowed shortcuts to be taken for release of these novel vaccines to the public. One of the shortcuts was that possible long-term side-effects were not adequately studied. Should ivermectin be approved, this could threaten EUA for the vaccines and, in the worst case, lead to recall.

I am thankful for my VA doctors who are far more independent from pharma salespeople. I actually trust them - they also understand why I’m not vaccinated and have ivermectin on hand.

Well, you got lucky FRiend! My VA doc got visibly upset and his entire attitude changed with me when I told him my reasons to not get vaccinated.
The trials for ivermectin have been plagued with flaws in the data. No trial has verified its effectiveness. While some studies suggest reduced risk of death, and others hint at fewer COVID-19 patients progressing to severe disease after taking ivermectin at an early stage of infection, the evidence is shaky. “We don’t know whether ivermectin is helpful or not in the fight against COVID-19,” says Stephanie Weibel, a biologist at the University of Wuerzburg in Germany. “Trustworthiness of the pool of available studies is limited.” In a recent review of 14 ivermectin studies, Weibel and her colleagues found that often the trials enrolled few patients or weren’t designed well, sometimes leading researchers to overestimate ivermectin’s impacts. She encourages more robust clinical trials, like the one underway at the University of Oxford in the United Kingdom.
“If there isn’t evidence that the product works, then any risk the product might convey is unacceptable,” says Peter Lurie, president of the Center for Science in the Public Interest and former associate commissioner at the FDA. “We have people who have gotten ill from ivermectin, who’ve wasted a bunch of money for no proven benefit, and the concern is that ivermectin is diverting people from things that actually work: vaccines, masks, and social distancing.”
Also, ivermectin supporters, who possibly weren’t able to acquire prescriptions for the drug from their physicians, may resort to the animal-version stocked in farm supply stores, not knowing the difference. Ivermectin for animals contain ingredients not tested for humans. The recommended dose for animals by weight is much higher, and if people ingest ivermectin at that high dose, they’re likely to be poisoned, says Michael Teng, a health virologist at the University of South Florida.
Maybe because Merck who owns the rights to Ivermectin, isn’t playing with the other big boys at the Pharma table.
They mostly do get their panties in a twist when you tell them you’re not vaxxed. To a number of them, you are sick because of covid, and not something else. I heard a LOT of personal stories from my circle.

1. Using Vaccines, masks and social distancing as excuses are distractions. Most ivermectin proponents aren’t telling you to not be vaccinated, not mask or not social distance.
2. Why is the FDA concerned with people spending their own money on a cheap drug? It’s not their business or their money.
3. “No proven benefit”. The reason why so many are actually clamoring for it despite the clampdown by authorities is because they are seeing benefits on others with their own eyes. They are seeing the testimony of CREDENTIALLED doctors who have actually administered it on patients and swear that it works.
If it were useless for Covid, it would already be known long ago.
4. What exactly is the proposed alternative for most people who get infected ( vaccinated or not ), other than to take Tylenol and an antibiotic and hope that their condition does not worsen? I haven’t read any PUBLIC RECOMMENDATIONS from the CDC, and if they do have such recommendations, where are the formal well designed studies and publications they demand of Ivermectin that show that such a recommended strategy works?
If they weren’t so damn dangerous, they’d be laughable.
The Dem-Government/Media/BigPharma/Hospital coalition is doing everything they can to stop interventionary treatments for COVID-19 that keep those who catch COVID from having to go to the hospital for a handful of reasons:
(1) An effective interventionary COVID treatement (or multiple ones) will completely eliminate any justification whatsoever for the lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates. The government could no longer enforce them because an interventionary treatment would allow COVID to be treated like the flu or a cold.
(2) Effective interventionary treatment(s) would deny Democrats any justification for massive vote-by-mail fraud schemes for the 2022 midterms and 2024 Presidential elections.
(3)Government payments to BigPharma for COVID vaccine: In addition to anything paid to BigPharma by the patient’s insurance for the COVID vaccine the US Government pays J&J $40 for every patient vaccinated in the USA; Pfizer and Moderna gets $80 per patient vaccinated in the USA. If you assume each vaccine gets equal share of the market the Government would have paid out $11.651 Billion dollars for the 176 million COVID vaccine doses given out in the USA so far. The USA has a total population of roughly 333.3 million people - so that leaves another 157.3 million or so vaccines that they want to get out - roughly another $10 Billion or so in pork to pay out to BigPharma.
(4) US Government payout to Hospitals for COVID care: In addition to anything paid to the hospital by the patient’s insurance, the US Government is paying out $13,000 for every COVID patient that is hospitalized, another $39,000 for every COVID patient placed on a ventilator. Considering the millions that have been hospitalized and or placed on a ventilator that adds to to billions upon billions of pork paid out to the hospitals for COVID care - ON TOP OF ANYTHING PAID TO THE HOSPITAL BY THE PATIENT’S INSURANCE!
I would be shocked of the Democratic party isn’t getting one hell of a kickback from all this COVID pork being handed out to BigPharma and the Hospitals as well.
If Conservatives are able to regain power, my one hope is that we arrest those within our Government - at all levels (Federal, State, and Local), the Media, BigPharma, Hospital Admins/Medical Associations, and Big Tech who have taken part in this mess via Nuremburg style trials. The crime that should be charged primarily should be is for the millions of COVID deaths that could have been avoided had these groups not worked overtime to actively block the development of interventionary COVID treatments so that these people didn’t have to die. Additional charges should be corruption and violating the Constitutional Rights of American Citizens and the Human Rights of people around the world. They should all be punished at the gallows or by firing squad.
