BEND, Ore. (AP) — The death toll from COVID-19 in Oregon is climbing so rapidly in some counties that the state has organized delivery of one refrigerated truck to hold the bodies and is sending a second one, the state emergency management department said Saturday.
So far, Tillamook County, on Oregon’s northwest coast, and Josephine County, in the southwest, requested the trucks, said Bobbi Doan, a spokeswoman for the Oregon Office of Emergency Management.

Tillamook County COVID-19 data. They show 9 deaths in the last four months. Checked on internet archive to see what the page looked like in July. Unfortunately no one had archived that page until now so no way to tell when the 9 deaths took place.
Also do note, vaccine breakthrough rate this month is 20%.

Exactly. Who’s to say that their old refrigerated truck or transport vehicle is t simp,y on th3 fritz and needs replacing? Showing an order for a truck or two does nothing g to prove a claim that bodies are piling up because they ‘can’t be transported in cold storage trucks’, nor does it mean an increase in covid deaths is to blame if infact more people are dying.

Thank you, that is what I mean. Most people have their loved one taken to a funeral home for burial or cremation. They don’t leave them laying around in meat wagons like serial killers do.

So 31 deaths so far this month. It looks like they are having a huge spike in cases. Both Oregon and Washington are not as far along on herd immunity as other parts of the country. High vax rate, but low natural immunity rate due to severe lockdown restrictions from June 2020 to June 2021.
