Emmy-winning U.S. actor Christina Applegate has been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, and described her condition as a "tough road."

"A few months ago I was diagnosed with MS. It's been a strange journey. But I have been so supported by people that I know who also have this condition. It's been a tough road. But as we all know, the road keeps going," she said in a tweet on Tuesday....

A friend of mine and my husband’s was diagnosed with MS. . . . . And went to a specialist in another state who diagnosed her with Lyme disease after many tests.

I once knew a woman who was diagnosed with MS. She spent years on medication that affected her health. Then she found out she was misdiagnosed - she'd never had MS.

Makes you wonder... How many people have been misdiagnosed with MS, and they never find out?

Thus the name “Lyme” disease.

I worked at a very famous hospital for many years and encountered several rather well known people during that time. If it had occurred to me to call the National Enquirer I just might have done so...if the money was right!

Years ago I came across a movie she did in 2001 with French actor Jean Reno, called "Just Visiting."

You have me wondering the same. My mother was diagnosed with MS around 1980. Very sudden onset of neurological symptoms that eventually paralyzed her on one side of her body. Within a few months, she fully recovered and has had no symptoms since and takes no drugs. Seems pretty obviously a misdiagnosis.

Kinda reminds me of the show House, where they constantly threw the same differential diagnosis at their patients, sarcoidosis or lupus. Maybe it should have been MS.
