Tom Green County mask mandate ‘no longer in effect’ after Texas Supreme Court ruling
SAN ANGELO — A ruling Thursday by the Texas Supreme Court has temporarily blocked mask mandates in public schools across the state, including a similar mandate issued in Tom Green County.
Local health authority Dr. James Vretis issued a property control order Tuesday mandating the wearing of masks on any school facility in Tom Green County where a positive COVID-19 student or staff case had been confirmed.
Vretis’s order officially began Thursday. Hours later, the court issued its ruling. As a result, Vretis said his order is “no longer in effect” in a message sent to the Standard-Times Friday, Aug. 27, 2021.

Just heard on the radio, Sirhan Sirhan granted parole hearing. Will go to parole board for consideration. If approved, will go to Newsom.
Did you hear in one of the briefings today that military guy when asked if the Afgans being air lifted were being tested for covid and if so how many have it. He said out of the thousands only one in one group and two in the other group.
What does that tell us? I will say a hot climate and sand/dirt might be the answer to not getting it. :-)
Really how can that be if this virus is such a pandemic?
I read that Robert Kennedy, Jr. thinks that Sirhan Sirhan was railroaded, a scape goat and wants him paroled but I would have to do some research to see if this is true.
What a shame.
I heard that too. On the radio announcement, they said RFK's youngest son was at the meeting & was glad to meet Sirhan Sirhan, and be able to "humanize" him in person, or some sort of similar BS.

I dunno. I’ve seen reports that Covid hit the First Nations in New Mexico and Arizona particularly hard, to the point they closed the reservations to outsiders if I recall correctly.
That’s a hot, dry climate.
