Something must be getting lost in translation. There is no ‘GS-25.’ GS-15 is the highest in the normal scale. Beyond GS-15 is the Senior Executive Service. These are generally Cabinet Secretaries, their Deputies, Directors and the like.
I’m not even sure if the head of the Capitol Police is a part of the Senior Executive Service. A lot of the critical LEO and national security jobs are exempted from SES. But, even if the Capitol Hill Police are eligible for it, there are statutory limits in place. IOW, Pelosi can’t simply reach down and make someone an SES. The General Accounting Office and OPM would never approve it.
The PTSD disability, however, is completely believable and possible.
For some reason her death was an exhibition instead of an honest attempt to save a woman’s life.
This whole story stinks:
• From the image of the gun hesitating then firing,
• to the way she helped her cohorts help her to the ground,
• to the way the other protesters didn’t duck when they saw some one else being shot,
• to the way the protester in blue (who stood back and let Ashli go through the window first) was showing the journalists the spots of blood on his hands...
Nope! Some things - many things - just weren’t right.

Perhaps because the killer was paid extra to kill one of the “insurrectionists” to ensure there was blood spilled and that there had been gunfire.
I do not.
Of course, one never knows what a person will do. That’s something everyone, even here on FR, can agree on. Push a person hard enough and no telling what they may do.
But, no matter how much you, me and everyone else hates to see what’s being done, if a legitimate investigation were conducted and it was determined that the shooter acted within the law, folks on our side will, for lack of a better term, accept it. Certainly won’t be happy about it, but accept it.
At the end of the day, like other members of law enforcement, they can move him and give him another job, get him off the “street”. Make him an instructor at FLETC, where they all go for their training.
It’s just so odd that it’s this much of a secret.
Unlike the folks on the other side, we will not set fire to cities. We will not beat up cops, throw bleach at cops, shine lasers in their eyes. We will not throw molotov cocktails into police cars. We will not block city streets and highways and then attach and try to beat up drivers that drive through our makeshift blockade. We’re not going to clean out BestBuy or Target.
Of course, getting off criminally doesn’t mean that her family will not have any other remedies, ie civil court. But that won’t matter to them or any of us.
And one more thing, as I type this response, we haven’t seen one REPUBLICAN member of Congress asking for more transparency from this agency. Congress has exempted themselves and the Capitol Police from a lot of things that other government entities have to abide by.
Has anyone ever seen the reports on the sexual assault/harassment allegations committed by members of Congress? We don’t need to know who the “victims” are, just the “perpetrators”, as would be standard in other cases like this. But, then again, it is public money that was used and I’d like to see the details. I used to investigate rape cases, unless the victim was a minor, the cases were public and the parties were know to the world if they cared to know. And I’d love to hear the arguments that they’d use with regards to NDAs. Again, that info pertains to monetary amounts, not the principals in the case.
Has anyone every seen the police report on what happened to Harry Reid?
Has anyone every seen the details of what those Pakistani used car salesmen were doing with access to the Congressional computer system?
We’re kept in the dark about alot of things our elected representatives do. Not sure if that’s the way it’s supposed to be or was ever meant to be. I’m thinking it’s not. Shame we don’t have any that are willing to step up and shed some light on what they do and have done over the years.
The corruption of officials’ ‘play along to get along’ schemes that we are all too familiar with will be our downfall.
I hear the right tone from some (Jim Jordan is my rep) but there’s never any solutions as if we’re in Perpetual limbo. WE are supposed to self govern. Have we lost that along with the rule of law which demands the Truth?
The only reasonable explanation is that it was an unlawful shoot with orders given by Pelosi.
If it was a lawful shoot, as regrettable as it might be, they could justify it. Everything about how the law was enforced can be traced back.to Pelosi’s office.

As for the rule of law and the truth, we can get back to that in no time, if we had the guts to do it. But, we aren’t the Founding Fathers and we’re not willing to risk and lose it all, to change things....yet. Which is a crying shame that it has come to this point. It’s disgusting.
Maybe he’s related to Lincoln Project’s Steve Schmidt of Utah. As it happens, Utah is also home to agitator J. Sullivan and some other Antifa/BLM types who were there that day. Sullivan was involved in a Utah protest where someone got killed.
Remember in the capitol riots, protesters were ushered right inside.

My understanding is that Congress has passed legislation which keeps secret the identity of Capital police in these types of incidents. We never knew the identity of the officers that shot the woman in the car that try to break through barricades several years ago. This is not so much as to obfuscate as much as to follow law. This is a bad law if all attempts to have transparency of these officers fails as well.
Charge them all with her murder under RICO.
An article on FR said David Bailey was the shooter, immigrant from Brazil.
