Asheville had been a great place to visit for years. Great scenery and restaurants. My kids used to dance up there at Shindig on the Green for 7-8 years. You could see the place go downhill over time. The hippies moved in and took over downtown. The “woke” crowd got elected and enjoy destroying the place from within as well.

The more dangerous the neighborhood, the less they should be involved. No reason to put their lives in danger for communities that don’t want them there.

Eventually situations will demand that law abiding citizens start forming vigilante groups and their own armed patrols to protect themselves and their property. Where I live I can display a firearm to dissuade someone from committing a property crime. If that same perp decides to attack me by advancing in a threatening manner then I can use the firearm. We have neighborhood watch, I have alarmed my house. We also have had some mysterious shootings of prowlers for which there appears to be no shooter! I don’t know about Asheville though. Maybe they will allow property crimes and just suck it up.
