A new real-time feedback, Delta Pulse, that was created by Delta Airlines with the hope of improving its service, but the feedback system has led to a number of abusive comments about flight attendants on the flight.
David includes other abusive messages received about the appearance of the airline’s flight attendants.

I have flown Delta a lot in the last year (east coast 30+legs). IMO Delta has done a great job. Planes are clean; attendants are professional.I am going to miss the empty middle seat come May 1. Flying Delta and flying in general has never been better than currently never felt more appreciated as a customer. Hopefully it will carry forward.
Airline personnel have the power to have you arrested, fined and or jailed if they decide they don’t like your attitude (I think it is called obstruction of a flight crew, or something like that).
With power like that they don’t need to be nice.
“Neither are the passengers. “
Anybody who works with the public at large (like stewardesses) will tell you what a bunch of Grand Canyon gaping assholes there are out there. I’d have an attitude too!
Remember when men of strong character were actually well-behaved? Maybe they voted for Biden but hang here for the free memes. It's a problem.
The last airline I flew on was United. That was about 9 years ago (and thankfully I haven’t had to fly since). I needed to ask the flight attendant a question and she was about 3 ft away. I addressed her as stewardess. She quickly corrected me. I asked her why she was so rude. At that point I forgot what the question was.
“It’s the unions. It’s impossible to get rid of attendants with seniority.”
A HS classmate of mine, 1980 is still a flight attendentt though she is skinny and fit though aged badly in the face
I'm sure she's wonderful, but...
Those older women were stewardesses back in the days when they were required to be young and attractive. Bet they didn't complain when they were the ones given jobs based on their youth and good looks.
IMHO, it's a safety issue. There should be age and weight limits (and I say that as someone no longer young and trim herself).
There is no mandatory retirement age for Delta Flight Attendants. My sister hung it up with Delta last year at 65. She has often mentioned there were plenty of Attendants in their 70’s still working. They only have to fly a couple days a week to be fully employed, nice benefits, cheap or free travel if willing to fly standby.
““The aisles are too narrow on your planes and my elbows kept getting bumped by the pudgy flight attendant who couldn’t control the movement of her ass””
Yep. We live in an soft obese society. Fat people in planes and lots of whining.
My nephew used to work for Delta and would get free passes. He gave a First Class one to my wife to fly back East and visit relatives.
The stewardess treated her like crap - until she said something about a "Delta employee". Wife answered back that she was not. The color drained from her face and thenceforth couldn't do enough for her. Nephew said the stews looked down on Delta employees for "flying free".
Originally the “Stewardess” had to be a nurse and they had age and weight requirements !!!
Tip: If you want to get really great service on a flight (any airline) Buy a box of chocolates in the terminal and give it to the flight attendants as you board. It works!
The most beautiful girl in my high school became a Delta flight attendant nearly 40 years ago.
She still is. (A Delta flight attendant, I mean. Not as beautiful.)
Nice but not the same girl. Notice the stripes on her top. The other picture has none. Lol, That’s my kind of flight though!
Flight attendants are basically cattle wranglers.
Why do looks matter?
Do cows care what cowboys look like?
Flight attendants enjoy the job when young because of the free travel perk. Yet the pay is low, which makes savings and pension accumulation difficult, so they must often keep working in spite of age, ill health, and personal issues. The result is a flight attendant work force that is increasingly old, overweight, and crabby.
Note to people who fly: You’re not passengers anymore. You’re cargo. Adjust your expectations accordingly.
He would have really loved the Eastern airlines crews of the 80s... They made a mean mimosa. After a few, they all gorgeous.
