That is indeed VERY disappointing. I HATE IT when people, and ultimately it is people making these decisions, don’t keep their word. So sad.
You are welcome. It’s what friends are for.
Great breakfast and funny, have a good day!
Good morning, Rusty.
Amen. Thanks.
Nice property! Praying things fall in place for you.
👍
Oh...well, if the worst that will happen is they’ll charge you a penalty and leave you alone and let you keep the mobile there, then I’d be a rebel with a cause too!! Especially if it’s cheaper. I’d just tuck that amount away where I’m not tempted to spend it and just put my plan in place.
Since the delivery date is kinda iffy and then there’s the time to get it set up, have you thought out a plan for temporary living arrangements until the mobile is all set up?
GOD has provided helpers for you in the midst of your storms, DollyCali. Praying your health improves.
My oldest granddaughter said she’ll sleep in her sister’s room so I can have her room if need be. I just spoke with the mobile home company and they hope to deliver end of July, so we should be ok if we close the home end of August.
The worst that can happen is they order us to move the home. I hope it doesn’t come to that, but we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.
Thanks.

Sounds like you might be all settled before the snow flies, then! Have you heard of any instances where they did order the home moved?
I know it’s hard to have your plans in place and then have them all implode (been there, done that!). I’m the type that plots a long time, but then I move swiftly when it’s time to pull the trigger. When I’m forced by circumstances to do that before I’m comfortable, I figure that’s God telling me ‘get off your butt and get a move on!’.
Catching up here. Congratulations on the quick offer for your house. That’s got to be a relief and exciting to move ahead with your plans for the new house.
Well, this has all happened so fast, and it’s because the homes around here are selling for WAY more than they’re actually worth. We wanted to cash in on this market quickly, before it bursts. That puts us in a mobile home on the farm....which I think I’d love, actually. We don’t want any yard work or snow shoveling to deal with, so this is perfect. We can be helpful for many things, right there for home-schooling, watching the kids, pulling some weeds, etc., but completely private. The good part is that if the home fetches some good money, then we’re also in a good position to help the kids more. It’s a good thing, but I really will miss the property at the lake. I do have a very good friend next door at the lake, so I can always go out and visit her now and again during the summer. Then I can drive by the big wig who paid $1M for MY lot and mumble something under my breath lol.
Funny you should say that about God telling you to get off your butt.....I was just thinking this morning that this whole thing is unfolding as if someone else kind of has the reins, if you will. I’m doing the dealing, etc., but it’s like someone else is at the wheel. I am thinking that we’re supposed to be at the farm, and there to help in any way we can. My son also lives out that way, so we’ll all be closer together.
A really good article here, comparing Nazi Germany to today’s Democrats. From the American thinker. Sometimes they act conservative I guess.

I miss my old kitchen too, the new one is about half the size. I can imagine your frustration cooking in a small galley kitchen. Especially since one of your jobs there is to be a chef!
But I remember when you would make gourmet vegetarian meals on a hot plate. If anybody can do it, you can.
How strange, we have a showing tomorrow morning. I was going to take the hanging baskets home to take care of them better, but I guess I’ll just run up there and water them. It might actually be the guy that bought the house. Several of the appointments were realtors that were videotaping it. I guess that’s how people buy it from out of town. I’m hoping he didn’t buy it sight unseen and then is disappointed!
