What I don’t get is why people are not being tested prior to vaccination to see if they already have immunity? Seems like a waste of doses if the person doesn’t need it.

The Spanish Flu in 1917/1918 burned itself out after a couple years with no vaccines or other intervention, and it was far more deadly than COVID.

Sure they wore masks, but it didn’t seem to help them either.
