Unlike the police who shoot “unarmed” black men (who are usually resisting arrest), the identity of this officer is being protected.
(Of course it desperately matters, which is why they're hiding him.)
The perp appeares to be unnamed, but on administrative leave.
Too caught up with cops being killed or injured and violence caused by Trump’s rhetoric even though the riots were talked about weeks before and when Trump was speaking his listeners were over a half mile away from the action happening.

This “Grassy Knoll” had known shooter,
with clear known cufflink and markings, and
a known forehead matching an known Obama man,
so why would there be followup?

All we know is “He had no choice.” In times past we might have assumed a male. These days it’s a day by day thing. We may never know. But, next time there’s an LEO shooting on the street, this is the only response that should be issued.

Unnamed Capitol police officer ... With out a name there is nothing, and it could still be what was originally speculated as a freshmen democrat congressman who didn’t want to cower with the rest under their seats.
The democrats and deep state will circle wagons around the capitol cop who did it.

The Trump supporters have been accused of killing officer Sicknick.
But, did they?
As far as the popular story that is out there, it is based solely on some anonymous sources that said he was hit with a fire extinguisher, which led to his aneurysm.
When Officer Sicknick came off duty, he commented that he had been maced, but said nothing about being hit with a fire extinguisher.
His family and official sources said whatever led up to is death was unknown.
There is a tape of a demonstrator throwing a fire extinguisher at police, but Officer Sicknick was not involved in that incident.
The FBI got excited about the prospect of a murder charge but has backed off, and said merely it is “under investigation.”
Where is the tape of the incident? Who was the assailant? Where is the autopsy report showing the issue was caused by a head trauma? ?
Answer to all three: Nowhere.
Official sources have absolutely no motivation to clear up the record, the FBI is invested in promoting the domestic terrorism angle, and loves to puff up (to the point of fabricating) crimes.
The Dems certainly don’t want to change the narrative, this offsets, and even trumps, the killing of the Trump supporter.
No pub is going to risk the political firestorm if they question the story: (1) there is no upside, (2) they’ll be demonized as being “disrespectful to the fallen officer hero by spreading conspiracy theories” (3) they actually have no problem with the government demonizing Trump supporters.
