An elderly man has been killed by a pack of hyenas in Zimbabwe, after they pulled him from his bed while he was sleeping.
The man, who has been identified by the authorities as 87-year-old Tendai Maseka, was dragged about 1,000 feet from his mud and wood hut.
The incident occurred on Monday night in the rural region of Chirumanzu. in central Zimbabwe.
By the time Maseka's body was discovered by villagers, its lower half was missing.

A mud hut is nice but if it does not have a door that can shut and lock, than your home is no protection.
I don’t care how hot it gets. If I share territory with big predators i am locking myself in at night.
The hyenas would forget how to hunt, by the time the needed to go after more prey.

I get African virtual safaris on my FB page all the time. Some of these videos are absolutely amazing, unedited and uncut. There is this one guy that has a sanctuary, he has some that he has raised from cubs and are pets along with lions and other critters. But the videos from out in the wild are something else.
Leopards and Cheetahs will run away from a pack of hyenas, so will lions if out by themselves.
I filmed two hyenas being chased off their prey by a flock of scavenger birds while in the Ngorongoro Crater in Tanzania. Still have the video somewhere.
I, for one, am locking my mud hut up every night after hearing this.

The hyenas had their votes fairly counted in both Detroit and Philadelphia for Joe Biden .
They were upset that the 87 year old man questioned their validity to cast votes.
About the tenth time I have seen this post here. Hyenas are scavengers. Like this is something special..? Scavangers kill too, just so we know.
They eat each other when food is scarce. They will eat you first, if they can take you down. If not, they will eat their young and weak.
It is frigging Africa. You either eat or get eaten.
