Q is the result of the sacrifices and commitment of countless patriots to win back our captured country from the Deep State and achieve the transformation President Trump promised in this campaign video. President Trump has said the awakening of the public is key to this transformation.
Q describes this awakening as follows:

Folks enjoy riffing on "Trump's bad picks" for senior management. But, the laws and rules regarding such are byzantine and were generated to prevent a POTUS from interfering with Deep State control of the levers of government. What Trump has been doing, and doing well, is putting a person in place to display their scumbaggery and then remove them from the field of play. And recall Trump's constant success in neutralizing and or completely sidestepping those agencies within the fedzilla that are DS owned and operated. Remember Coats at DNI? How'd Trump handle that? Went around the DNI and straight to intel agencies that were better trusted for the unfiltered product.
