Sunday night my husband went to the hospital because he was feeling winded (48 years old). He had had shoulder surgery about 2 weeks prior so he was chalking it up to tensing too much from pain.
They did several tests on him, admitted him, more tests and then told us he needs an open heart triple heart bypass (family history)-- we are devastated and could really use your prayers right now.
My husband said "Have Faith" but to be honest, I feel like my wells are empty and I am having a hard time drawing upon them. I am scared...we have been married 30 years and he is our family's rock.
I know so many families here have gone through much more and I have so much to be thankful for... we probably found it a month away from a heart attack (50% clog, 90% clog, 80% clog).
Surgery is tomorrow at noon and I would appreciate you holding my husband Keith up in your prayers...thank you freeper family~
Praying!
Prayers for all involved!
I’m lifting up Keith and your family in my prayers for a successful procedure, full recovery and the peace that passes all understanding to guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
My husband had to go in for a stress test about 20 years ago and they told him they needed to do a heart catheterization on some blocked arteries. They brought him out of anesthesia and told him they needed to do a triple bypass, too. He said he absolutely did not want the open heart bypass and they ended up doing two angioplasties with stents. The one artery that was 90% blocked they left alone and said they would monitor it every year. The cardiologist said that sometimes the vessels work their way around blockages and grow new blood vessels. He’s 71 now and it’s been 20 years and he’s still doing fine. Coincidentally, he’s having shoulder replacement surgery next week!
This kind of heart surgery is routine now and they’ve gotten very good at it. Everything should be fine. Don’t worry, just rest in the Lord.
Lord, hear our prayer on behalf of Mr. and Mrs. terart!
Make Your divine Presence known to them, we pray.
May they be faithful in prayer and humble in repentance, so that their prayers will be most effective.
May every medical necessity be met and exceeded, Father, including all preparations, selections of the medical team, medications, anesthesia and its administration, nursing and recovery staff, equipment, sanitation and sterilization, protection from virus, communications, skills and timely refreshers, and Your miraculous foresight to supply every need for the procedure, recovery, insurance and co-pays.
Bring gentle believers alongside to minister in friendship and support.
Deepen the tie between these two life partners, as this threat is met and overcome through the power of Your ministering Spirit.
We ask these blessings in Jesus’ name,
Amen.
Prayers up for all concerned.
Praying for you Kieth and
your entire family.

Dear Lord,
We raise up Keith and his loving family for your divine intervention and continued presence as he undergoes this challenging medical procedure.
Be with them and vanquish all doubts, fears and uncertainties while recharging their reservoirs of faith, hope, and love for you and for one another, now and forever.
We collectively and continuously place our trust with You, so that thy will be done.
We pronounce our praise and prayers to You, from whom all blessings flow.
In Your Holy Name,
Amen
Prayers up.
Have you a church family or prayer chain. Call or keep going with updates here during surgery suggest. Real time prayers make difference too.
Lord, Thank you for all You have provided so far.
Thank you for the successful work You have provided for those my family members in similar situations. Supply same for terart and husband now, please. Hold them up in Your arms here through prayers of many others before, during and after.
In Jesus’ Name, amen.
Now you will have to rely upon the perfect Rock: the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.
May the Great Physician guide the hands of the surgeons to complete healing and may for husbands faith inspire you and your family. In all this, the name of Christ be glorified.
Prayers sent...
Thanks! And I’ve lost 30 pounds!................
[Slowly getting it back ,tho!].................
Prayers for your husband and may God bless and strengthen you during these trying times.
That’s exactly right!
One of my ICU nurses, a male, whom I got along with very well because we had a lot in common, told me, “I’ve never had a patient like you before.”
What do you mean? I asked.
He said, “Look at these other people (there were 5 besides me). They are all in here for the same reason as you, Open heart surgery. They have to do the same exercises you do, but they just lay there or sit up and watch TV all day. I can’t make them do anything. I and the other shift nurse bitch at them constantly to do the exercises, but they don’t listen. You, on the other hand, ARE doing the exercises. I see you, and so do the other nurses. I don’t have to bitch at you, I leave you alone and I know you’re doing everything you’re supposed to. That guy over there in the next room has been here 16 weeks!”
I was out in 1 week. I would have been sent home sooner but I had developed a rash, allergic reaction from some chemical in the cloth wipes they used on me, so they had to keep me an extra 3 days to observe the skin problem......................
How very inspiring! God was not done with you, and He’s not done yet, Grandpa! Blessings!
Freepmail for you!
I may not have conveyed my thoughts exactly as I had wished, but I wanted to give terart hope....that there is hope. This is not over for her husband, Keith.
Life doesn't present you with the most difficult tasks at the most convenient times. Troubles come at you when you least expect it.
The secret to surviving and moving on from those seemingly insurmountable problems is to treat it with what I call a spade problem. The entire issue can overwhelm you so treat it as a spade problem. One shovelful at a time. Eventually you will have filled in the hole.
Again, my prayers to terart's husband Keith during his open heart surgery and recovery. And for her and her family to have the strength to be there for him when he needs them the most. Do not despair, terart. You can do this.
