DP was told an hour ago that the Big 10 and Pac 12 will cancel their football seasons tomorrow… The ACC and the Big 12 are on the fence.. And the SEC is trying to get teams to join them for a season.

Dan Patrick reported during his radio show this morning the Big Ten has voted.
There won’t be a college football season this fall.
Patrick said a source told him that the Big Ten and Pac-12 will cancel their seasons on Tuesday. He said he learned the Big 12 and ACC are “on the fence,” and that the SEC is trying to get the other teams to join them for a season this fall.
The Big Ten presidents voted 12-2 to not play this fall. Patrick said only Nebraska and Iowa voted to play.

A lot of pro prospects, especially the seniors won’t be able to enhance their financial negotiating positions.
People keep talking about Covid outbreaks as if there were some consequence of outbreaks. Why do we not take it to the conclusion of what actually happens in an “outbreak”. Do they die? Does anyone die? Do some of them cough and get a fever? These so called outbreaks don’t even result in deaths. Athletes should be in much better shape than the average person so you would expect them to have fewer bad outcomes resulting in death. They aren’t dying. Show me just one example of an athlete that has died if Covid. You can’t.
Call me silly or whatever but I thought the danger of Covid was that it could kill you but that doesn’t seem to happen all that often. Yet we get all breathless over an outbreak.
I was always told that winning a title makes you a “world-class city.”
The media in Indiana going crazy over back to back days of over 1,000 positive tests. Same time frame, 1 death.
Pac-12 isn’t a serious football conference anymore. Big 12, however, is.
Lot of money going down the drain. If they go to Uncle Sugar for a handout, there should be hell to pay.
Good riddance. Close all colleges and universities while you’re at it.
Parents of those seniors wouldn’t want their kids exposed..................

1. These are 23 year old men. What relevance is their parents approval?
2. For many the potential of an NFL payday is at stake. The parents would be overjoyed. My son is being robbed of his first year of college soccer and I’m ticked off. He has my complete blessing to play.
If correctly applied, they both act in the exact same capacity.
It's a virus with a 99 percent survival rate, remember? Remember how we were just going to shut down for a couple of weeks to protect the elderly and keep the hospitals from becoming overcrowded? Remember that?

And I can't help but think a lot of the push not to reopen the country is coming from people on unemployment who are making more than they ever made working.
