You would have to drink a lot of tonic water to get an equivalent dose. But, tonic water does indeed have quinine in it. That's the tonic.
Tonic water (or Indian tonic water) is a carbonated soft drink in which quinine is dissolved. Originally used as a prophylactic against malaria, tonic water usually now has a significantly lower quinine content and is consumed for its distinctive bitter flavor, though it is nowadays also often sweetened.

Mix the tonic water with quinine along with two tablespoonfuls of elderberry juice concentrate and you may well have a much improved immune system. Believe me, it works fine. I drink a 8 oz glass a day and I feel great. Quinine is used for such problems as malaria, immune system (lupus) problems etc.
