Baking Soda & Epson Salt

Posted on 06/28/2020 1:05:07 PM PDT by Dacula

I am tired of buying store-bought products that do more harm than good.

I am curious if fellow FReepers were using baking soda and Epson Salt on a regular basis and if so what is your favorite tip.

Perhaps you have another 'Secret' product that you use.

Diatomaceous Earth (DE)... the same thing used in most pool filters. Spread it along the ants’ trails and walahhhhh.

"I cleaned a bunch of coins the other day..."

Are you taking this Wuhan Virus scare to extreme measures?

Meat tenderizer for spider/bug bites. PUt a dash in your hand, add drop of water, pat on bite. Do several times a day. IMO every first aid kit should have this included.

Comfrey. If you have room in your garden grow some. Use it for bug bites, poultices for bruises, sprains. Makes incredible fertilizer. Tea (banned by the FDA so you know it must work). Many more uses. Look it up.

Good to know. I expect Muriatic Acid will work too, now that I think of it, eh? :-)

If you find a place where ants are coming into your home, a smear of Vicks vapo rub over the hole and surrounding area will last forever to keep them out.

If you are referring to Aero-Kroil then yep.... works like a champ and runs about $25 per 16.5 oz. can.

“Ijust cleaned a bunch of my pans with Baking Soda, salt, and vinegar. They look brand new. “

Does it work on liberals?
Clean them up and make them conservative?

Epsom salts are great for a relaxing soak in the tub. But, also, don’t forget to use in your rose garden and for your tomato plants.

It’s most useful for making wine chillers and other molds out of ice:

If my toilet gets clogged, I just pour a can of coke in it. It works. Then, if my oven is greasy, I mix some coke and baking soda in a paste to clean it. Hydrogen peroxide works as a carpet cleaner.

I will try the coffee grounds on the army of ants around our storage sheds. Hope it works on the other little critters as well. We do spray a lot but ants snap back pretty fast! Thanks.
