The killing of George Floyd has reverberated across the world, with protests reaching across the Atlantic.
Floyd died after a Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, knelt on his neck for nine minutes. A video of the incident sparked national outrage. Chauvin has since been fired and charged with second-degree murder, an elevation from the original third-degree murder charge.
While many protests following his death remained peaceful, in cities like Minneapolis, Washington, D.C. and New York City, violence erupted and led to looting, vandalism and buildings set ablaze.
Violence consumed countless mom-and-pop businesses, many owned by minorities and immigrants, leaving behind a desert of small business, with little recourse but to plead for the public to donate to online fundraising campaigns. Insurance is not a panacea for destruction caused by looting in most of these cases.
Some have downplayed the looting and violence. Politicians, along with sympathetic members of the national media, lined up to apologize or justify the destruction. Seattle Councilmember Tammy Morales said “what I don’t want to hear is for our constituents to be told to be civil, not to be reactionary, to be told that looting doesn’t solve anything” at a council session Monday. Sally Kohn, a liberal political commentator, tweeted: “Property is insured and can be replaced. Lives cannot. Check your priorities, America.”

Well I will say is that the one thing Antifa does is truly dispel the notion that whites are superior.
I don’t have any intention of appearing fair. There were a white looter or two but I know that the vodeo was edited and then reedited and then reedited to get a blimpse of an obese white woman in the midst of the regiments of Africans looting and pillaging.

The police, fire departments, sheriff departments are just like the military. They ALL have to take their personnel from the population of the nation!!! You have no way of knowing what kind of person you are getting. That is what basic training is all about in the military. To break a person down and rebuild him/her. If you are a complete dud you will not make muster in basic training and you will probably be sent home as a failure. Same with police academies.
My nephew recently retired as a 25-year Alabama State Trooper. He told me long ago about his academy days to become a Trooper. He had a Drill Sergeant type guy who ran them. The man was a retired Marine and had been a Drill Sergeant during his time in the Corps. My nephew said this guy's main deal was to weed out the duds in the first two or three weeks so that they could put their time in on the ones that would eventually become serviceable Troopers. Said the guy was extremely hard on them, but fair.
However, as in the military, I am sure that some bad ones get through the system. Lots of people will "play the game" to get what they want. Be a soldier, sailor, Marine or a COP!!! So, you get cops who will play the game through training to get what they want, to be a cop. Then with time, they move up in the system, get promoted, but also their old self is in play. Like the Minnesota guy, with 17 prior complaints. I worked in the Prosecution side of the house in my military legal days, working for Army Trial Counsels, what a prosecutor is called in the Army. I did probably 200 courts-martials during my time in the prosecution side of my career. I assisted the Trial Counsels in preparing for trial. Rape, murder, drugs, theft, wife beating, assaults, you name it, we did it. All were soldiers who got through basic training and their individual job training and became soldiers. BUT, their old selves led them to commit their crimes and they got court-martialed.
So, yes, bad soldiers and bad cops. Some bad ones get through the system and become veteran cops, some are thugs in uniform. We had bad soldiers, but WE HAVE NOT SHUT DOWN THE MILITARY BECAUSE we still have to protect the nation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just as the GOOD cops HAVE TO protect our cities!!! As with bad soldiers, we have bad cops and sadly, we have to deal with their crimes, whatever, when they commit them. Sad, but true.
