When we go to visit my sister in UT we sleep in a beautiful basement bedroom.
Going up and down the stairs even for that short time isn’t fun.
Today is June 25, 2020.
70 years ago today, the Korean War began.
A soldier who just turned 18 in Korea would be 88 years old today.
It would end 3 years later with an armistice that still is in use today.
Combat and other theater deaths of US Armed Forces personnel totaled 36,914.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will accept the Democratic presidential nomination at a nearly all-virtual convention in Milwaukee in August, the Democratic National Committee said Wednesday. Delegates were told to stay home because of health concerns.
IMO it has nothing to do with health and everything to do with keeping the delegates apart and from talking among themselves. Someone might have organized a revolt. Now the progressives are in charge with no one to challenge them.

Capitol Hill residents and businesses sue city of Seattle for failing to disband CHOP

A group of Capitol Hill residents and businesses filed a class-action lawsuit Wednesday against the city of Seattle for the extensive harm theyve faced as a result of CHOP, or the Capitol Hill Organized Protest.
Calfo Eakes LLP, the law firm representing the group, said in a statement the lawsuit is not a step (their) clients have taken lightly, adding that they stand with the Black Lives Matter movement and support demonstrators right to free speech and assembly. The plaintiffs include owners of apartment buildings in the area and local businesses such as Car Tender, Northwest Liquor and Wine, Sage Physical Therapy and Tattoos and Fortune. The lawsuit seeks unspecified damages.
This lawsuit does not seek to undermine CHOP participants message or present a counter-message, the lawsuit says. Rather, this lawsuit is about the constitutional and other legal rights of Plaintiffs which have been overrun by the City of Seattles unprecedented decision to abandon and close off an entire city neighborhood, leaving it unchecked by the police, unserved by fire and emergency health services, and inaccessible to the public at large.
In a statement to The Seattle Times, a spokesperson for the City Attorneys office said they havent received the lawsuit yet, but when they do, they will review it and respond accordingly.
The lawsuit blames the city for aiding CHOP occupants by providing them with stronger barriers, public restroom facilities and medical supplies. It also mentions that residents and business owners now have difficulty accessing their buildings, receiving deliveries and providing services to customers, with elderly and disabled community members facing magnified obstacles.
Is that Steven Smith tweet real?

Pew Research: Only 1-in-6 Protesters Are Black, 46 Percent Are White

Though recent protests and riots have been centered around racial tensions with law enforcement, only 17 percent of protesters have been black, while 46 percent are white, 22 percent are Hispanic, and eight percent are Asian, the analysis shows.
The data reveals that black Americans are not the largest minority group represented in the protests.
The protesters are overwhelmingly Democrats as well. Almost four-in-five of the protesters said they are Democrats or Democrat-leaning voters. Less than 17 percent of the protesters said they are Republicans.
Good morning, Gran. We were not successful at the early garage sale we went to this morning. The things were nice, but just not needed.
Good morning , Freee-dame.
