Yes, it does hit the young and fit (FluBro Cult says: they must all have secret illnesses, you see). But it affects the old and ill much more. Fat people often have other issues, and we still don’t know what counts.

My wife, who works at a nursing home, came home with a letter on company stationary that said she works in an essential field and is an essential employee, here in Missouri. MO did the stay at home order on the 21st and it will last until Apr 6th.

There was something else going around. lots of people had it. It was too early and too widespread to have been CCP-19 if the timeline we know about is accurate. I don’t dispute it was nasty - I had what ever it was, too. But I think it had to have been a flu strain or a vicious cold.
Widespread testing will tell us. Coming soon.
We should be concentrating on what needs to be accomplished to reopen the economy.
That will be clearer as time passes.
One thing we’ll need is a level of immunity in the population so the outbreak doesn’t restart. Probably around 50% is the line, but that’s a wild guess.
I remember seeing stories here of people who got whatever it was twice...so they need to be tested with the new test coming out to see if they had it..if they dont mind being put in a database

More than 100 deaths were added to the US tally, after I posted the chart earlier today (775 total). Numbers of dead are doubling every three days.
There are 21 days until tax day. If this doesn't slow, the death toll will double 7 times by then. We're looking at maybe 100,000 dead by the middle of next month, April 15, at the peak - according to JPM's analysts - chart source.
That's three times the flu. That many more could die on the other side of the peak. That's a possible 200,000 dead, if we don't find better cures, before the Corona virus burns itself out in the US alone.

That I can believe. Much more appropriate to the known timeline. She can get tested now, I presume. They want people with antibodies for some of the treatments being tested.

Not to disappoint, but for herd immunity to be truly effective, the vast majority of folks have to have acquired immunity either by vaccination or the hard way. And my contact says we can’t count on cross strain immunity, at least not yet. So much we don’t know yet. But it would be good for your daughter, for one strain, anyway! That much is good news.
Keeping people locked down has another benefit. It keeps the strains from mingling. We have no idea, yet, what happens under those conditions. Is that the source of the reinfection claims, or is it just relapses? Can human beings handle the 1-2 punch of both strains? Or does one just soften you up for the other? If that’s the case, I’ll be totally in the bioweapon camp. And then all timelines and assumptions are out the window.

And, IIRC, it's been scientifically proven ("maybe"), that ogling over women's breasts is good for a man's health and can add years to his life! :)
