The first deaths in Milan Italy were Chinese from Wuhan.
A couple visiting family in Milan .
They were Italian patient zeros .
The DM had a story on it and the media hid .

I agree. All the mild, undiagnosed cases, if modeled the way the CDC does with flu epidemics, could bring the final fatality rate down to less than 1%.

Spain on worse trajectory

Agreed.

Madrid has 3.2 million population, compared to Milan's 1.4 million.

They have been the epicenter of the virus in their respective countries.

The highest case loads are in Fulton, not unexpected, As that is where Atlanta as, and the surrounding counties of Cobb and Dekalb. But the worrisome ones and where the most deaths are happening is rural/South Georgia, like Dougherty county. It’s like they have a completely different strain there.

With this virus, the morbidity is the bad part.

It’s like the reason NATO changed the ammo caliber. You don’t kill the enemy, you take 2 or 3 of them out of commission with every injury.

“The panic has been generated by a press who are desperate to bring down President Trump. “

so.....you want me to believe that the entire world, 145 countries, collapsed their economies, hired a bunch of crisis actors to pretend to be sick, just to bring down Trump.

differences between flu and Wuhan Virus:
doctors don’t drop dead because of infection with the flu
nurses don’t drop dead because of infection with the flu
people don’t drop dead on the street because of infection with flu
opportunistic bacterial infections caused by the flu can be treated with common antibiotics
the only antibiotic that seems partly effective with Wuhan Virus is Z-pak - the strongest antibiotic we have on the market
Ro of the flu is about 1.0. Ro of Wuhan Virus is 2-5. (tbd)
flu requires a short, if terminal, hospital stay and is generally viewed as an expected end-of-life event for the aged/disabled/physiologically compromised
Wuhan Virus doesn’t care what your age is, who you are, or what your existing or nonexisting morbidities are.
Flu usually doesn’t have lasting physiological effects. There is evidence that Wuhan Virus does have lasting or long term physiological effects.
Hospitals are able to compensate for annual flu cases without running out of personnel or supplies. Doubling or tripling the load with the introduction highly contagious pandemic or epidemic strains overloads those hospital resources

H1N1 was not a ‘normal’ flu for the US, only in the last few decades, and, should be looked at afresh as related to Jan/Feb international travel infectious routes. Without H1N1 annual epidemic, accepting that H1N1 is causative to 50% or more of annual flu deaths, ‘normal’ flu would be in the range of 10-20k deaths a year. And realistically less, as some of the very elderly can’t stand even a minimal strain to their aged immune systems.

Right now, America is laying siege to an enemy. An enemy that needs living bodies to reproduce. Our siege is buying time for scientists to win the war. Same as every war. Join the siege. Win the war.

I’m aware that it’s more contagious and deadly, but statewide shutdowns still risk crashing the economy, which would have its own potentially deadly effects.

Things suck. I spent six hours in a ER yesterday with my wife. Ended up she had a twisted colon. Emergency surgery last night. I was able to be with her up to surgery. Now I am out for the duration. They ended up taking out her entire right side of her colon.

So, now we have pancreatic cancer, a colostomy bag, and the remaining chemo. But, I still smile.

The experience in the hospital was that of a locker room before the big game. Except, the big game was being played upstairs. The ICU floor was full. The telemetry floor (other “care” floors.) was full...built out as ICU.

Another floor was being transitioned today.

The ER nurses I spoke with were flu bro’s two weeks ago. Not any more. They were scared. That was the word they used. One just said, “All these people coming in intubated.”

I know it’s anecdotal. But since my wife and I both worked for the larger health system there was some “talking shop.” They are not—at the corporate direction—not releasing any numbers. Which is cool. But they are talking floors.

So, my wife gets to stay in that hell hole for 3-5 more days.

There is more stuff I will talk about on other posts, but it’s pretty identifiable. The nurses took pity on this white haired 60 year old weeping on the bench outside the ER and snuck me in. I would hate get them in Dutch with the hospital.

I have a gut feeling this virus is just the beginning of some really serious readjusting for most of humanity.

I prefer to lurk and occasionally post articles/links/charts. For the most part I only read/interact in these daily threads. The main screen Wuhan virus threads are a crazy-train of nonsense and denial. It’s like a leftist’s caricature of conservatism.

That’s a lot of counties. You really are due for a state shutdown.

What is especially interesting is the range of percentages, Dems 62 to 68%, Rep. 24 to 48%. Anyone remember when the president STOPPED referring to Covid-19 as a HOAX?

Check to see if your county has ability to pay on line. I can pay Real Estate and Personal Property taxes on line from any bank account that I have—all I need is the routing number and account number. The routing number is a 9 digit number found on the bottom left hand side of the check.

I am also able to transfer money from any of my bank accounts to another bank or an account at the same bank. In addition all the banks that I use even in this small town of 3000 people have some form of bill pay which can send a check to anyone you need them to.

I have no experience dealing with Associations. Though it costs money, I’d be tempted to have my lawyer deal with them for additional time. Any lawyer worth his salt, should be able to easily do that.

When I had property that was far away, I made sure to have good contacts that did repairs and stuff like that — so all I had to do was call them on the phone, and they would take care of it and send me the bill.

Hope this helps.
