Check to see if your county has ability to pay on line. I can pay Real Estate and Personal Property taxes on line from any bank account that I have—all I need is the routing number and account number. The routing number is a 9 digit number found on the bottom left hand side of the check.
I am also able to transfer money from any of my bank accounts to another bank or an account at the same bank. In addition all the banks that I use even in this small town of 3000 people have some form of bill pay which can send a check to anyone you need them to.
I have no experience dealing with Associations. Though it costs money, I’d be tempted to have my lawyer deal with them for additional time. Any lawyer worth his salt, should be able to easily do that.
When I had property that was far away, I made sure to have good contacts that did repairs and stuff like that — so all I had to do was call them on the phone, and they would take care of it and send me the bill.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info. I still need to consolidate cash into the bank where I can use my debit card on line. I wish I could just send a check but I don’t trust my local postal people since I never got the association notice, and around the same time period 3 months of bank statements were returned to the bank saying PO could not deliver. This was crazy since I have a door slot, other mail was being delivered, and it was only envelopes. I guess I will try to see if anyone answers at my council members offices. I know that local income tax payment is being delayed, I don’t know about property tax, and there is a 10% first month late penalty.
