First, let me say I am more than pleased in how my chemo and radiation treatments have been going. No nausea at all from the chemo and outside the pain from the arthritis in my shoulders holding my arms over my head for 15 to 20 minutes during radiation, I am not suffering much at all. Oh, I am down in the dumps at times and have fatigue to the max. I am sleeping about 16 hours a day.
All in all, the whole experience has been much better than I ever expected and all thanks to you all who gave me their prayers and support. I am so thankful to y'all!
Now, back at the ranch-- Coronavirus Insanity is real! The drive by media and the DemocRATS, never letting a crisis go to waste, are trying with all their might to kick fear into hyper-drive against President Trump and the Republicans and a part of it has hit close to home--
Hell, it has hit home right here in Corsicana, Texas, 56 miles south of Big D.
I went out for my last radiation treatment for the week at noon and then went down to the local HEB Grocery to get some milk. Now, granted, I have not been out and about much other than to get my chemo and radiation treatment, but as I drove up to HEB the parking lot was crammed to the brim.
Finally finding a parking spot, I made it inside and found an empty handicap cart and entered a land of folks filling grocery carts to the brim. Oh, I was able to get milk, yet I found there was not a roll of toilet paper to be found. Just a whole wall of empty racks where it should be stocked. Nor was there any hand sanitizer either. And thinking of my need to use distilled water in my COPD unit I went to get a couple of gallon jugs. Yep, the water section was just as empty as the toiler paper area.
I waited in line for nearly 20 minutes to pay for my milk and a couple of other things and then went down the street to Brookshires' discount brand grocery and found they were also out of water, too.
I realized I had several extra distilled jugs at home, so I figure I'll try again early in the morning when the trucks make their grocery deliveries. Getting home, I took the two distilled jugs I used as drinking water out of the fridge to save for my COPD. I filled up four empty jugs with water from the sink faucet and put them in the fridge for drinking.

Thank you for the update. Prayers continue.
Prayers Danny!!!
Great to hear! Don’t forget about any ringing in your ears -—— just your FRiends praying for you.
Praying for you, Danny. You’ll get through this.
Praying for you, your family, and your speedy recovery, Danny.
Have you been under a rock for the last 10 weeks?
Praise God for your good medicine, good experience with side effects and readiness to resume it! Continuing in prayer, will add your back pain to prayer for complete recovery, positive chemo and treatment response and His peace.
Praise God, big hugs and prayers.
FRiend, it sounds like you are going through quite an ordeal. I am praying that you will come through the treatments with as little discomfort as possible and that your recovery will be soon and complete, in Jesus name. God bless you.
Here’s a big HUG!! coming your way Danny. I’m glad to hear that you are able to resume your treatments, and will continue to pray for you every day. Stay strong, and God Bless.
Yeah! What great news. Gob bless.
Thanks for the good news update.
Prayers up for his full recovery.
You take care and God bless!
Considering I do not recall you ever posting to me before on FR, I guess your answer would not be the same rock you evidently have been since 2007 when you joined us here.
As my my present condition is well known through his thread and a few others, I do not feel further evidence need be attached--
However, those with me on this thread and, I supposed that same rock you have me under, have been more than generous with their prayers and support. Therefore, while I continue to thank them and God for their actions, I guess you do not need any further comment nor notice--
Take care and God Bless,
Danny
Prayers up again - hope the radiation techs are as pretty and nice as the ones who tended to me for prostate cancer...
Lord Jesus, bless and protect the life of Thy servant Danny.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
In lieu of a hug please except this virtual fist bump.
So, let me say, mark that on the seat of your pants, pun intended-- I bought some TOILET PAPER!
Yes sir, re-Bob! Authentic, rolled tissue paper and it was on the rack right there in the HEB right here in Corsicana, Texas, yesterday where previously for the past few weeks there was only an empty stretch of racks on the store's back north wall.
Now that gives me some hope that the very, very worse of the hoarding was beginning to twain. I've also noticed, yet not mentioned, that I have also noticed that distilled water, that I need for my COPD machine, was also now available in HEB whenever I am there.
I am also happy to report that my return to chemo and radiation is still doing well without any major side effects not nausea.
So, if I may say in IMHO all those prayers and support for me has leaked out some extra help to include a softening of the most personal effects of Covid-19 health crisis surrounding all of us.
So my continued thanks and praise for all of y'all who have given freely of your prayers and support for me over my cancer treatment. Keep it up as it is spreading out to do more good than we ever expected!
Take care and God Bless,
Danny
