E wish air travelers were required to spray Lysol in their purse, baggage, etc.
Is Tom Cruise still quaratined in Northern Italy?
not sure
I am currently in London. Numerous people are wearing masks, but with two or three exceptions, everyone wearing a mask has been Oriental as they still say here.
Handwashing and hand sanitizers are everywhere. Even a major store on Carnaby Street has a big window display encouraging people to come in and wash their hands. I joke that the first thing I packed in my luggage was hand sanitizer, but thats not really too much of an exaggeration.
Not good news.
IMO, a person can walk the right path without going into a church building, especially under these circumstances. God understands all.
Any Dem gathering infected peeps, yet?
“There is a Scandinavian study discussed earlier in these threads that says the virus can be spread be aerosol.”
Below is a link to a medical paper from 2019 (Bird Flu) that talks about the virus in the air. All viruses are pretty much the same when it comes to size, density, etc. So these results would be similar for Covid-19. They are spread in the air at far distances and long linger times (hours).

Excerpt:
Over the past few years, prompted by pandemic preparedness initiatives, the debate over the modes of transmission of influenza has been rekindled and several reviews have appeared.
Arguments supporting an important role for aerosol transmission that were reviewed included prolonged survival of the virus in aerosol suspensions, demonstration of the low infectious dose required for aerosol transmission in human volunteers, and clinical and epidemiological observations were disentanglements of large droplets and aerosol transmission was possible.
Since these reviews were published, several new studies have been done and generated new data. These include direct demonstration of the presence of influenza viruses in aerosolized droplets from the tidal breathing of infected persons and in the air of an emergency department; the establishment of the guinea pig model for influenza transmission, where it was shown that aerosol transmission is important and probably modulated by temperature and humidity; the demonstration of some genetic determinants of airborne transmission of influenza viruses as assessed using the ferret model; and mathematical modelling studies that strongly support the aerosol route. These recent results and their implication for infection control of influenza are discussed in this review.
I try to read every post before I post, but there will be duplicates. News is coming in fast.
Florida Dept. Health

@HealthyFla
has announced 2 new presumptive positive Florida #COVID19 cases: 1 in Okaloosa County and 1 in Volusia County. Both individuals are isolated and have a recent history of travel. For #COVID19 updates, visit http://FloridaHealth.gov/COVID-19
I appreciate all you do on this thread, your research and posts are invaluable.
Terrible news.
I wonder how they know that he was the one who brought it on board.
With the studies shown today, it is rather stunning that CDC is going with the “no aerosol bro” party line.
It gets the conspiracy theory folks around here all revved up. ;-)
“Actually, I think its a function of the concentration and length of time of the virons (or whatever theyre called...Ill use virons).”
From what I have read you are correct. You can get some of the “virons” into your body and your body fights them and wins. You get too many (I think they call it viral loading) and the body is overwhelmed and the virus wins.
So anything one can do to lesson the amount of exposure is a good thing. (Hmm - I bet the UBER business is way down.)
Nope, that passage doesnt say its a sin to miss church on Sunday.
Churches do that to control their membership.
Mandatory church attendance is churchianity, not Christianity.
Thank you, yours are as well!
Maybe not. What's safer, taking Uber or Mass transit?
Thanks for posting that (updated findings) aerosol spreading article.
The Elk Grove Unified School District announced Saturday it would be canceling classes and all student-related activities after a family from the district was quarantined after testing positive for COVID-19, the novel coronavirus.
