“The 800 tourists from the United States and Australia aboard the cruise ship, which was initially scheduled to dock at Balis Benoa Port on Sunday, will therefore not be able to set foot on the island.”
I wonder how many of those 800 people had the chance to change their plans AFTER it was known of the hell the people on the Love Boat in Japan had to endure. My guess is about 799, although I may be a bit low.
I like your tagline.

How come you have to link to a RUSSIAN ‘news’ site?
Answer: Because they tell it straight, and accurately, as in this sentence:
“Taking cruises amid the global coronavirus spread might not be the best idea, as hundreds of ship passengers have lately discovered. The tightly-packed liners have proven to be perfect environment for mass viral transmissions.”
There must be one nearby. Some people actually have cars. Or maybe they had it delivered.
The only thing I am really stocking is OTC meds and immune stuffs. I don’t take any prescription drugs, but I’d be miserable without my little jars and tubes from the Duane Reade and the health store.
reposting the alcohol sanitizer ‘recipes’, to the weekend thread for those that didn’t see it Thurs. If you only find 91% rubbing alcohol it’s ok. (p.s., alcohol will etch some plastics). Here’s how to stretch 91% out:

(edited to put recipes at top of post and the why add water below)
RECIPE - reducing 91% to 70%
In cups, from eHOW.co.uk
Measure out one cup of 91 per cent rubbing alcohol, and pour it into the plastic container.
Add one-third of a cup of water and stir to mix the solution. The solution is now 70 per cent rubbing alcohol.
In grams (from answers.com)
measure 77 g of 91% alcohol and add 23 g of water.

91% straight is going to dry your skin out like a long day at the beach. Add a little bottled water to it to take the % down a tad and decrease flammability. (might add some aloe gel too, if youre going to use it as a hand sanitizer)
The CDC website recommends 70-91%.
Why not use 95 or 99%?
When you sear a roast, youre protecting the juices inside the meat. The higher percentage alcohol you use, the faster youre going to sear or seal the outside of a cell and the alcohol isnt going to get inside that cell. Water prevents searing and acts as a tool for the alcohol to enter the cell. The pressure difference between the water on the outside and pressure inside of the cell sucks that alcohol right in. Water also has a static charge that will help Velcro onto both the virus and the alcohol, reducing evaporation time and giving the alcohol more time to do its thing.
You sound like us.
Are you set on non persishables to the extent you can?
Do you have TP? :)
Its GOOD to hear there are negatives coming out.

A California man who died of the novel coronavirus brought it onboard the Grand Princess cruise ship, officials said, suggesting the virus has been in the state much longer than originally believed.

Yeah. Think of your wants when prepping for covid.
Most people will have no trouble getting what they need, in large part, but getting what one wants can easily become difficult.
I like it. Texans can immediately relate to that, I’m sure lol
Exactly!!
I just played out a possible scenario, to hubby, of how quickly and EASILY this virus could be spread...just by gloved flight attendant.
Thats not even taking into account the other spreaders using restrooms, coughing, sneezing, touching surfaces, etc.
Oh, but the air is 99% virus free.
Sure.
Believers are the church and where two or three are gathered in Jesus name, He is there in their midst.
Its a huge error to claim that the physical building means anything or that church can only be with a large group of other believers.
Its not a *sin* to miss going to church on Sunday morning.
In light of the corona virus, skipping attending church on Sunday is wisdom, not something to be chastised as it does NOT affect your ultimate destination.
Is Tom Cruise still quaratined in Northern Italy?
There’s no way with all of the airline traffic in this country that this thing hasn’t been in the wild for weeks.
That Life Center page reads like a page from a Stephen Jing novel.
...Wherever two or more. TV counts absolutely it does.
Is he still in the closet?
