Believers are the church and where two or three are gathered in Jesus’ name, He is there in their midst.

It’s a huge error to claim that the physical building means anything or that church can only be with a large group of other believers.

It’s not a *sin* to miss going to church on Sunday morning.

In light of the corona virus, skipping attending church on Sunday is wisdom, not something to be chastised as it does NOT affect your ultimate destination.

IMO, a person can walk the right path without going into a church building, especially under these circumstances. God understands all.

I have repeatedly said that medical reasons are legit and you can work that out with those who are legitimately in charge.

As for avoiding the worship of God for your personal preference no that
Is a sin. Worship is not optional for the Christian.

Yes when two or three are gathered there He is. But that is not church.

Church is the organized (gasp!) body of believers with leadership, accountability, sacraments, discipline, the authoritative preaching of the word. We don’t get to make it up as we see fit.

Again not to hijack a thread just to respond to the one asserting that church is optional for the Christian; it is not. If you are ill or incapacitated or in danger of illness due to real situations that is a different thing.
