Saw a trifecta of doctors the past two days and a plethra of nurses and technician all aiming me to start chemo and radiation treatments next week on Wednesday.
First, the good news, Monday last PET Scan, says my oncologist, shows the cancer has not spread very far at all and "highly treatable." So my chemo and radiation treatment should only run 4 or 5 weeks he says.
He gave me several new meds including 2 for nausea. However, Carrie, the nurse that will be doing the actual chemo told me that they believed they had mostly got the nausea problem handled. Now, of course, everyone reacts differently, so I will cross my finger and toes while having those two 'no-vomit' pills very close at hand.
I will be seated in a lazy boy type chair for the chemo and using my brand new Bard Power Port they will take a couple of hours to pump in the chemo meds while I sit and re-read my W.E.B. Griffin Brotherhood-of-War novels-- I hope!
Carries says the chemo will lower my resistance, and with the possible coming of Coronavirus being around, I will be wearing a face mask to keep its germs at bay when ever I am out and about. She warned me to steer well clear of anyone sick or sickly looking--
My new heart monitor is a pain. It pings at odd times and I am constantly charging it and the accompanying cell phone that came along to send the data back. On my trip to the radiation folks, it appears I will have to take it off and put it back on some five times a week because of the radiation treatments while I ride the rails of their confounded radioactive dispensing machine. I then went back to my cardiologist and gave the nurse that fitted me with the monitor the news I'd need many, many of the little thingies that mold the monitor to my more than manly chest for the coming five weeks or so. She gave me a dozen and said to come back for more when I needed them.
Take care and God Bless,
Danny
Sounds like you’ve got everything in place for a faster-than-planned recovery, :)
Your positive attitude will see you through. Still praying, of course! Keep us posted.
Lord God, Jesus Christ, heal Thy servant Danny from all illness, to Thy glory.
In the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, amen.
Prayers up for a complete recovery. God Bless You.
Best of luck to you, sir. Ill keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Bard Power Port
Sounds like something a superhero would have.
Which is appropriate here...
God bless you!!!
But the Bard Power Port really speeds up... how much Lone Star you can consume!
Both Superman and Batman want one but I am way too busy helping Wonder Woman get hers placed just right!
Prayers.
Praying.
I will be thinking of you and praying for you.
No worries Bendy! Good luck and prayers! We need you back for football threads so get well soon!
Good luck and best wishes on your treatments.
We will be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.
Best Regards

Prayers up for you brother.
Sounds like quite a procedure ahead. I pray for minimum disruption in your life, no nausea, successful treatment, and a good read.
And of course, the peace that passes understanding and comfort that can only come from God.
In Jesus name, Amen.
Prayers up for you, Bender2.
(((Hugs))) Chin up. You can do it.
FATHER GOD. GREAT PHYSICIAN. HEALER.
Praise the LORD that Bender2’s cancer has not spread very far at all and is “highly treatable.”
Bless Bender2’s nurse Carrie and guide her as she administers the chemo treatments. May only the diseased cells be eradicated by the radiation and may Bender2 not have side-effects from the medications he is taking.
In the Name of JESUS we bind all viruses, infectious disease, and evil spirits that Bender2 may be in contact with at the hospital. Loose Your ministering angels to surround him and fill him with the HOLY SPIRIT, Who washes us and makes us whole.
Thank you for Bender’s friend Greg Allen who will be driving him to his treatments. Bless him abundantly.
To GOD be the glory! Great things You have done.
In JESUS’ Name we pray. AMEN.
Thank you for the update. Prayers up.
And it’s so good that you have maintained your sense of humor. Your tale made me smile. ~~hugs~~
