I’m going to vent a little bit.
Thursday night, a week ago, I thought I had strained a muscle or ligament around, or under, my right shoulder blade. Coincidentally, on Saturday, I noticed a lot of itching and several bumps which I thought were some sort of insect bites. I treated with Benadryl.
But the pain escalated and spread. It felt like a burning ache or a burning poker through my back. At times, I could feel related pain under my arm and down to my fingers. I added acetaminophen and 20 mgs of prednisone (to keep the inflammation down) to my treatment.
Now, the venting! I made the error of going to the ex-pat medical clinic at the school. It is staffed by nurses. I asked them to look at the bug bites and tell me if I need to seek further treatment. They didn’t think it was a reaction to bites, but probably shingles.
But, because I was taking prednisone, they didn’t want to give me any acyclovir. “Taper off the prednisone and then come back!” Also, they said to talk to a doctor and get their recommendation. In essence, they did nothing!
So, I continued my research. The treatment is acyclovir, Benadryl, pain reliever, and PREDNISONE!!!!! They COULD AND SHOULD have given me the acyclovir. But acyclovir needs to be started within 72 hours of the symptoms beginning. IT IS TOO LATE!
One week of pain has gone by. I have one to five more weeks to endure. Shingles hurts a lot.

One thing I’m encouraged by from these rallies. Many, many people I see interviewed are in their 30s and 40s. I’m seeing a lot of young people who are Trump supporters. That is encouraging for the future.

Same here!! And, they are there because they WANT to be there...not for some free concert, or free food/rides, etc.
The Dems have to really bribe the mind-numbed fools to attend their gatherings....and, their crowds come NO WHERE close to POTUS’ YUUUGE rallies.

He has had NO residual pain, and this has been quite a few years ago, since contracting.
His began the exact same way, as yours.

Both my parents got this a couple of years ago and my mother even got the shot. Hers was less than my dad’s.
I know from them it’s very painful for you.
