President Trump walked onto the field at 3:02 for the national anthem.

Sen. Risch of Idaho stood with Stephanie Grisham on the sideline. Mike Pompeo also is here, but it is unclear how he traveled.

The audience cheered as Trump walked off field. He put on a red Keep America Great hat, per a copooler.

Subject: Travel Pool Report 7/Coin toss and Risch

The situation for reporters is quite chaotic. Please keep that in mind before sending me unpleasant emails. I passed along all noteworthy remarks from the locker rooms, which were merely encouraging and focused on professional sports waivers for athletes.

The coin toss resulted in a tails winning. None of us had eyes on it and we do not know which team that advantages.

I asked Sen. Risch about his traveling with the president today. He said he was “hanging out.” Asked if he was in the running for a new job, he said, “no, no.”

Subject: Travel Pool Report 8/Full locker room remarks

Per request, Trump said in Army locker room:

“The last time I saw your coach, he said, ‘What about a waiver?’ I said, ‘What are you talking about a waiver?’ He said some of these guys could play in the NFL, you could play for the Yankees, you could play for the Mets, you could play basketball, you could play whatever. But you have to serve a long time. And what we are doing now is you’ll go out and make a fortune and after you are all finished with your professional career you will go and you will serve. And everybody is thrilled. That means you can go out and do whatever you want. And it probably gives the coach no reason to ever [inaudible] a game. You’ll never lose a game. So I want to congratulate you ... So good luck to you.”

He made nearly identical remarks to Navy players.

Subject: Travel Pool Report 9/Trump to Army side

President Trump, out of view since the game started, emerged at 4:08. He walked along the sideline and up the stairs to a seat in the 2nd row on the Army side of the field, near the 50 yard line.Wearing a red Keep America Great hat, Trump stopped and waved at reporters, but did not speak.

There were a couple sporadic shouts of “Trump!” and “Let’s go Trump!”

There is about 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. When it ends, Trump will cross the field to the Navy side.

Subject: Travel Pool Report 11/Trump crosses field

President Trump crossed the field at 4:36, walking from Army to the Navy side with military leaders.

Some audience members chanted, “Commander in chief.” Also heard, “Trump we love you.”

A couple dozen people in uniform chanted, “Four more years!” This turned heads but it died down quickly.

Trump is standing in the 3rd row speaking with people near him. Trump is flanked by acting Navy Sec. Richard Spencer and Navy Superintendent Sean Buck.

Paratroopers weren’t able to jump onto the field today due to the weather. So President Trump walked down from the stands and accepted a football from a group of them, before posing for a photo.

A group of young people was sworn into the Navy a few minutes before. Trump seemed to smile when they swore to obey the orders of the president.

At 5:07 Trump began walking off field. We are heading to the motorcade.

Apologies. Trump was with acting Navy Sec. Thomas Modly, not former Navy Sec. Richard Spencer.
