I'm covered for the weekendwhat are you guys drinking?
Update: November 15, 2019 11:00 a.m.: If you're on the hunt for this very looooonnggg case of PBR, do I have great news for you. We heard back from PBR, and it turns out this case is going to be available in a whopping 15 states! Yes! Very cool.
If you live in Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Florida, New York, South Carolina, Montana, Vermont, California, Wisconsin, Iowa, Arkansas, or Colorado, you win because the case will be sold somewhere in your state. That's about as specific the information I have for you gets: Where exactly you'll find it in that state is between you and your local distributor, but it's worth calling around.
I also spotted, since this was published, 99-can cases full of only PBR Easy so if you're looking to drink a ton of cans of only that stuff, well, you're in luck!

Thought why post this then looked at the picture. That is funny. Family Pack. Great for Sunday after church pitch in. LOL
And the 99 can case of PBR only costs $5.99! Thats how good it is!
Second only to schlitz malt lickah!
Wow! PBR is one of my favorites, and Michigan is very nearby. I would hate to break that box open, though.
I saw this on the news yesterday, and they calculated that it costs more per can than just buying regular 30 packs.
Let’s see. Assuming they’re 12 fl oz cans and the specific weight of beer is approximately the same as water, 99 x .75 = 75 lb, not including the weight of the cans and the cardboard. Is there a handle on that case strong enough and in the middle that would allow one person to carry it? One man carrying it and comfortably turning a corner would be difficult. Do-able, but worth calling a friend for help.
After all, there’s 99 beers there. Perfect for two guys over a weekend.
I used to like PBR. Haven’t had it in a long time, so I’ve no idea if I still would. It seemed to be making a comeback among college students a few years ago, but I have no idea if that’s still the case.
Do you have to sing the song 99 bottles of beer on the wall?
For decades Pabst operated a brewery in Newark, NJ. It was famous for the 60-foot bottle that adorned its roof and which also served as a water tower. I used to take a bus past it in the late-70s before it ceased operations. The aroma of the roasted hops was a magical, a real treat. Never drank much of the stuff, though, except playing quarters in college. I dont think it ever actually won a blue ribbon but sometimes I crave an old fashioned American-style lager like PBR.
No, thats why they put it in cans.
;)
I like the flavor of beer. PBR is not beer, if it all tasted like that I would never touch the stuff anymore. Tastes like turpentine. I have no clue how anyone could ever get used to that flavor.
Ballantine ...
Its an “Acquired Taste” ..../s
99 cases of beer....
That could be the start of a great sing-a-long beer song...and someone needs to start writing it!
It’s PBR... in high school 50 years ago it was about a cheap and nasty as it got and as it says on the can:
Established in 1844, 49 years later it was “Selected as America’s Best in 1893” although there’s no known award for that.
It’s been brought out of obscurity by a generation who thinks they found a new beer.
I can still hear that tune in my head. ;-)
Actually a can of PBR is quiterefreshing poured with a dash of Margarita mix on it and very cold.
