Hi Granny, we are just now getting our first snow for the winter. It is coming out of Canada which is always the coldest storms. Very tiny fine blowing powder. They say to expect 2" to 6".

Saturday night it was raining and about 8:30 p.m. a car in the East bound lane was hit which threw her across the freeway medium facing on coming cars going West. She was killed and 4 others taken to hospital. Seven cars involved. The guy who hit her left his vehicle and ran but they found him and arrested him. I immediately knew it was a Mexican.

Now today with the snow there is a big pile up here in WA just across the Oregon boarder. These always involve the big rigs. I often wonder if they are the Mexican rigs that I believe President Bush allowed to start coming across the U.S. because it wasn't until that was allowed that I am seeing and hearing of more and more big rig accidents. :-(

You can probably expect this storm to hit you in a day or so.

CNN has spent an entire week claiming there presence at the FBI raid on Stone’s South Florida home was a combination of luck and hard work, this evidence proves that their “source” was indeed the Office of the Special Counsel.

We had a family of raccoons in Denver for about 10 years The mother moved into a very small gap in our covered deck area outside. She had yearly babies and they would be gone when they got a little older. One year, the babies became very secure with me. She would take them out at night and carry them up the side of our house right in front of the kitchen window. They looked in at me every morning. One time I was outside and the hose came on. They all came running from wherever and tried to hide behind me. Now they are cute, but they also have rabies. I shuffled my little butt (okay, big butt) into the house.

As far as damage, we now live on property in Oklahoma. Our elderly (80’s) neighbors had a raccoon last year, that came into their glass enclosed patio area thru the cat door. It got so scared inside that it tore up everything it could. They went outside and around back to open doors and get it out. It defecated on all the walls and floors and everything. They were up around 2 in the morning cleaning up raccoon mess all over everything. Said it was a terrible mess.

Yeah, I agree with you, they are cute, cute. But, I more agree with Dolly, destructive to the nth degree.

Well I imagine any wild animal feeling trapped would be destructive. They never destroyed anything on my deck ;) but yeah, I wouldn’t want one in the house. How the heck did they defecate on a wall? I think I’m glad my dog has one of those chips on his collar that controls the cat door. That way he’s the only one that can get in and out.

I’m sure the raccoons were happy that a feral cat got blamed :-) my outside cats food disappears a lot, I think it’s a combination of feral cats, possums, and the neighbor’s cat. I’ve never seen a raccoon here, not on the property. Just on the road sides :( But I’ll feed all of them, it has been so cold I can’t let them go hungry.

My hehe wasn’t directed at the middle class in those states that won’t be able to deduct everything on a house they bought, a house that would be a third of the price without state government intervention. When I lived in California the main selling point for me to buy my house was that I got a huge tax deduction.
It would be too much to hope for that the politicians in my home state would recognize that it is their policies and regulations and taxes that make housing unaffordable for so many.

I worked in the Oakland Hills once. My boss was in his car, ready to go somewhere, and I ran out and spoke to him for a moment. As he took off, a giant red oak fell just yards in front of his car. He wasn’t everyone’s favorite person, so everyone kept blaming me for saving
His life by delaying him a few seconds, LOL. We were all stuck in the parking lot until some guys cut up the tree to get bit out of the exit.
