Ducey has said numerous times no replacement until McCain burial is over. The replacement will be in place for the Kavanaugh vote. Ducey has ambitions, and doesn’t want to be the culprit in a failed vote.

He should hold off until after the beatification has died down, and the film has failed. A couple of weeks. Then name a good conservative.

And while it may seem annoying, Gov. Ducey is a by-the-numbers quiet behind the scenes kind of governor. No mess, no fuss, and things get done.
Right now, he has had months to prepare and select. However, since McCain died, he has likely been getting a deluge of arm twisting from every scoundrel in the US and abroad.
It can be assumed that whoever he chooses, the massed villains will go after him with the smearing intensity of Mueller. Big money campaigns to challenge him in the next election. Personal attacks against him and his family, etc.
For this brief moment, he holds the rest of the US senate and much of President Trump’s agenda in the palm of his hand, for the rest of this senate term.
Yes, I do not envy him one bit.
So please grant him some grace this time.
You won’t see a day long funeral for a democrat that reaches across the aisle to republicans.
He will appoint whom the family wishes to have replace him.

Governor Ducey definitely should appoint her to the United States Senate!!!! That would probably help him soundly defeat that “Open Borders” Dim who is running for Governor in November. And Dr. Ward would make a worthy U.S. Senator, not an underminer like McCain!!!!
Everyone needs to slam Ducey’s phones and email warning him that his political LIFE is at stake! He is up for re-election, and he will not get re-elected without the support of Trump supporters. Do it today, do it tomorrow, do it Monday!
